hey i got a question again.

 

how to tell that our battery life is dying ? issit when the headlamp light's brightness get dimmer or issit when some of the lightings stop working ?

 

cause recently i fixed a airhorn to my bike and at the start, the airhorn work quite well, but after awhile, sometimes the airhorn is not working and now the right side of my headlamp is not working. i doubt that the bulb is blown because sometimes it light up but sometimes it doesnt.

 

most probably due to the electric connection right?

 

hard to tell unless u got a voltmeter. it can be due to connection problem, electrical problem, headlight bulb blown or battery abt to spoil. can try fixing a relay for ur horn to see if the problem still persist

anyway, regarding insurance as im only turning 20 this year.

 

any idea how much it might cost?

 

i'm currently working every other day as a relief teacher before going into army so wanna aim some pocket size to hit.

 

1. u planning to buy 2nd hand bike or brand new?

 

2. u planning to buy from shop or from private seller?

 

3. u planning to full cash or via monthly installment if buy from shop?

 

4. if buy from shop and paying via monthly installment, usually they require u to get 2nd party (aka 3rd party fire & theft) insurance

 

5. if buy from shop or private seller and paying full cash, u can choose to get 3rd party insurance which will be cheaper

 

6. since u are turning 20 this year and just got ur license, u can prepare abt 1k for 3rd party or 1.5k for 2nd party insurance. prices are just rough gauge, not accurate at all.

 

 

can i ask is X1 and spark the same bike?

im planning to get this but got no idea wats the difference!

have been riding a scramb but wanna get another for trnsport.

i will prob prefer a manual ride

the new versions come with electic start?

spark and x1r is different. the difference is that:

 

X1-R

1. front & rear disc brakes

2. normal gear shift

3. e-start + kick start model comes with spoke rims

4. only kick start model comes with sports rims

 

Spark

1. front disc brake & rear drum brake

2. inverted gear shift

3. clutch & clutchless model

Fixing of relay helps unleash the full potential of the airhorn...

 

im using my Stebel Nautilus Compact airhorn with no prob till today...

u dun have volt meter?...oh ya regarding abt ur air horn is quite common..if ur horn is fixed near ur pipe cos of e heat...

 

i dun have a volt meter on my bike. and if i have, whats the healthy range of the voltage? around 11 V ?

if u r looking for cheap light bulbs.. a fren introduced to mi this place call Lim Batt.. its somewhere near changi there... but u have to diy urself after that.. then the levers all i get at wing-yap.. that time got promo so i bought it...

ohhh... i know what happen to mine alr.. just now brought my bike to my bike shop and found out that the relay is rusty which therefore cause the horn to stop working.

 

does anyone noe roughly whats the value of mi bike?? just testing water...

fully stock FBB plate x1-r can only fetch $2500, max $2800 if lucky. so u can take this price range as a guide. now the value of 2nd hand x1-r is dropping because more people are buying brand new ones thus pushing the market value down

i also wanna go jb change. chiong yamaha one is 280rm and original is 320rm (dunno they got talk **** anot). but i wanna change it only after i change my pipe. if not i think quite troublesome
