Ok, I went back to the shop. Apparently when they were fixing the exhaust in, they accidentally knocked the gear lever loose, so it easily got jammed. Now fixed already...

Oh yeah.. forgot to add. Got the yoshi tri-oval @ $650 w/installation. Came with KNN air filter and broquet free. Quite a decent deal ya?

Tyres with good grip don't last long. Tyres that last long don't have good grip. Pick your poison.

Dear members,

In celebration of SingaporeBikes.com 9th Anniversary, this year we will be bringing the event closer to the most popular shopping belt of Singapore, Orchard Road. *SCAPE, which is located at 2 Orchard Link, is a place where youth of our generation engage and explore their social interests and creative passions.

The focus and emphasis for this year's anniversary will be on new and potential riders. Together, with our partner and support from the Singapore Traffic Police (TP), Singapore Motorcycle Traders Association (SMCTA) and Singapore Motor Sports Association (SMSA), we target to deliver the message of safe riding not only to the motorcyclists, but also to the general public in the hopes of achieving an understanding and find common grounds from both the drivers and pedestrians alike, in this safety campaign. We would like to make Singapore's road a safer environment and towards a more enjoyable riding experience for motorcyclists.

The two days event, with the participation from our website and the general public crowds from Orchard Cineleisure & nearby shopping centers, will be an exciting and enjoyable experience for all. We will be having booths that are supported by big brands from the motorcycle industries showcasing the latest motorcycle models, safety and protection apparels, Traffic Police Seminar and more. There will also be displays of vintage and rare motorcycles of our past years that barely exist on our road now.

For our forum member(s), we will having our anniversary challenge that will be educational in the process, so that member(s) will also learn at the same time have fun while engaging in the games. Attractive prizes to be won ! ! !

Also, with the announcement of the upcoming SG Changi track in 2012 that is capable of supporting MotoGP, the most

prestigious class of Motorcycle Racing, Motorsports will be the sport in our country that will grow exponentially. We see

more young bikers going into Malaysia to utilize the race tracks at Sepang or PasirGudang for a feel of racing. When the SG Changi track is ready, the trend will be focusing on local races, participated by our young talents. Therefore, we hope to be able to bridge a positive impression to the general public about motorcycle racing and to break the myth that “Racing equals to Reckless Riding”. Singapore Motor Sports Association (SMSA), the governing body for all forms of motor sports in Singapore, will be on site to reach out to our talents on the requisites and the International Sporting Codes of Motorsports to have a better understanding and awareness.

In this anniversary section, we will also be conducting online contest, polling and promotions by our advertisers.

hi all x1r-ians,

I am considering taking over a x1r but looks like there's quite a lot to do up on the bike. so im finding out. Very new to x1r so would appreciate any form of help. Couple of things i would like to know

1) how much is the cost of full set OEM yamaha fairing? (old ones can't make it)

2) how much does it cost to redo alignment? (previous owner had a minor accident)

3) How much it cost for a full engine overhaul? (previous owner never did any. just wanna check if there is anything wrong inside)

4) how much does a full system yoshimura tri-oval cost? ( last i heard was about $1,100, from a friend)

5) any fellow bikers here with full system yoshi tri-oval care to share if there is a difference in FC compared to stock exhaust system?

Would appreciate all help so i can calculate and decide weather to take over the bike or not. Hope to be part of the x1r family really soon. :>

Last I checked it was close to 200.

It will depend on how bad it is.

3) How much it cost for a full engine overhaul? (previous owner never did any. just wanna check if there is anything wrong inside)
If it ain't broke don;t fix it.

4) how much does a full system yoshimura tri-oval cost? ( last i heard was about $1,100, from a friend)
Below 1000 after inspection fees.

5) any fellow bikers here with full system yoshi tri-oval care to share if there is a difference in FC compared to stock exhaust system?
Actually it improves FC but you tend to be more throttle happy coz of the sound and deliverance.

Would appreciate all help so i can calculate and decide weather to take over the bike or not. Hope to be part of the x1r family really soon. :>
My advice is to find a bike that has not yet been in an accident.

WOW! Thats solid tuning! you using 26mjn yoshi too? whos your mech? I wanna find him too! i told the mech not to tune too lean because i always go malaysia makan makan. Too lean mixture is not good for the engine running for long distance continuously because i will be starving the engine and stressing it. That no good no good.

hey ohayo! is this better than the stock bike mileage? yoshi exhaust with CDI can give u 60+ km/l? that's really fantastic! i thought only stock bike and exhaust give this kind of mileage. Can't wait to hear your full tank mileage!

I see i see. wa..still rich.. I cannot imagine how would the perfect tuning be like?? 250-300 per tank?

Yep, stock can go up to 200. I can only do it at 180km with yoshi carb. To me, thats awesome for a racing carb already. It gives you torque and performance. Yet it does not compromised fuel consumption alot. its a win win situation.

I am getting about 180 also bro... That's is if I cruise everywhere ah... But the temptations to WOT is always there... So with WOT at times, I am getting about 150... Hehehe...

To those people who have extra cash in hand, I would really advise to get the carb from Ohayo... But don't forget, with great power comes great responsibility ....

Cheers

Thank you for the recommendation! ^_^

yeah, when i coupled it with yoshi tri oval! The torque and power delivery at gear 2 and 3 is insanely shiok!! When you pulled the throttle and hear the swooshhhhhhhhh sound from the carb, very the shiok!! The carb is sucking in the fresh oxygen and you can hear it doing so!!

Hey guys, wanna ask something. Due to the absence of the fuel tank, will you guys slide forward from your seats when doing a hard braking from high speed? And will you wobble when cornering (at normal speed, not high speed)?
