Hi all, i wanna ask a qns.. Sometimes i have to kick start my bike a few times before it starts and it has to warm up a while after that before i can go off, not only in the morning, even when i turn off the engine for a few hours its hard to kick start sometimes.. Does anyone know what might be the reason?

 

my x-1r also have this problem. every irritating and worse is the servicing mechanic tell me spark plug still working?

Let's do a X1R gathering..

 

Objective... Have a good makan session, filled with laughters and a cool ride-out through the night with the company of new-found friends

I am just assisting in organising the gathering..

 

We will be riding in a convoy thus, please stick to speed limits.

 

I cannot guarentee your safety while riding.. so please if u are unwell.. Do rest.. if u are stubbon and still wanna come.. Take a cab.. if not there's always a biker who willing to give u ride..

a very common problem. depends on ur fuel jetting and air-fuel ratio. my mechanic told me if u wanna have those 1 kick can start, tune carburettor for the air-fuel ratio and increase fuel jetting (means more petrol consume just like when u pull the choke it consumes more petrol to start). i'm also having the same problem because i usually dun ride my bike out that often, probably once in every 3-4 weeks

Im not sure, im gonna change my engine oil and spark plug soon and see if it's gonna make a difference..

not a serious problem. cause u only get to ride when u book out, so engine is really cold. the distance u travel probably aint long, that's why when u turn off the engine and start it few hrs later, the engine became cold again. weather makes a difference too.

hi,jus sharing my opinion.its got nthing to do with the eo or the spark plug.its ur carb.i experienced once lastime.mine was much more worse.my bike will have a hard time starting up its engine even though after a long ride ride with it.its very puzzling sometimes.i decided to wash my carb in an trial and error case.and it was it.=)
