1) Bulb size for X1-R (Low Beam & High Beam)

2) Engine oil quantity (w/o & w oil filter)

3) Coolant quantity

Hi, I'm a x1r rider staying in tampines. I rode to Pioneer Rd Nth and back via PIE today. Pumped full tank V-Power before I got onto PIE at TP Safra side. Indicator shows half tank used. GPS map shows that it's about a 37km distance, ie. 74km to and fro. Sounds normal to you guys? Bike engine sounding more rough and feeling more vibrations nowadays.

 

See quite a few X1Rs around in TP, but never talk.

 

I think I stress the bike quite a lot as I travel at around 100-120km/h with high revs if on low gear for fast pick up and use engine brake alot.

 

Changed EO at Hong Leong, full synthetic at around 4400km, now around 6900km. New bike, 2nd free service. They tell me to go back when hit 5000km, or 9400km on odometer.

 

No budget for modding to get better Hp or FC. Think I should change EO soon to see if things improve. Also thnking of trying Nitro-9 EO additive that a forumer is selling. Cheapest performance enhancing thing a can do i think. Currently running full stock, with DIY exhaust wrap and ezzy-oiler.

 

It's still only a 135cc bike, so I'm not sure expensive mods are worth it. Any comments and advice for cheap performance enhancement, maintenance and cheap mods that I can try?

how's the exhaust wrap and the ezzy-oiler??thinking of putting one for my bike..want it to be more faster i think you change ur pipe to yoshi..ur cdi..and to sp carb and maybe there are other things that need to be changed...gonna cost you alot..want more power..i think just bring out the S4/DRZ if you have a class 2A license..

Exhaust wrap is quite effective I think. My bike response is quite nice. Not sure if changing the exhaust really benefits the the bike. The ezzy-oiler is quite ok. I let it drip over the chain and splash everywhere la. At least the chain gets oiled. The proper way is to let it touch the side of the rear sprocket, but can't get it to work properly, so i give up and just use common sense.

 

See how the Nitro-9 works, think pampering the heart of the machine could be the answer to bike performance. Other things cost alot and put the original design out of balance or over stress the other parts or just use up more fuel. It's a small machine, so I think there is not enough power enhancement in the mods to justify the cost of adding them that's why I'm just staying simple.

 

Would be nice if there is a way to add to our fuel tank capacity. that would change the ball game. More mods can be done because got more fuel to burn.

Heheh, I'm not sure if I'm friendly on the road. Normally, late and rushing. Haha. Anyway, my plate is FBF----D. Paiseh, if I ride a bit aggressively..

after not starting our x1r for days and been hitting the rain throughout, will our spark plug/EO be affected?

btw, i only just change to a new denso iridium and fully syn oil.

Unless a naked bike like fz,rxz then no.. 125z yes cuz the plug is exposed fully. Ur eo wont run away la bro haha!!

lol. cos i had a cold start this morning after not riding at all over the weekend, tried to move off after mins, but engine stalled, so i waited for another while.

so our plug is not exposed then should be fine.
