hello there.. which kind of rim do you guys advice for x1-R ? and is the rim with yamaha logo alike good ?

The stock sports rims would do just fine. You may consider changing to Racing Boy. They have a wide variety to choose from. And in different widths. Most prefer the 811 model or the 399 model.

If you're on the stock spoke rims, you may want to consider changing to sports rims.

I wouldn't say the Yamaha logo rims are bad but its quite heavy and I don't quite like it. Just my 2 cents. But to each his own.

Hope you find the rims of your choice. :)

Hi bro & sis

I believe this is my 1st post in x1r thread and have been riding a 2nd hand x1r for abt half a year.

Have a question in mind, my brake pads are due soon and I was wondering if anyone had come across or currently using Vesrah VD-282JL HH pads?

I had used it on my previous cbr600 and I would say it's performance is good for street and wet riding and most important value for $$$ compared to Braking or EBC HHs etc.

My current pads are from Braking, I believe it is the SM1 (installed by previous owner) and it's good. But I would like to try out something different.

Appreciate on some views and inputs.

Thanks

Hi everyone! It's been three months riding X1R so far so good and i've got something to ask from the experienced ones. Currently using 15t on the front and 37t on the rear sprocket. I notice my pickup is quite bad when i compare with others, looks slow? Top end also okay only? 110 km/h full throttle. Everything is standard and stock. Any idea what's the problem or what sprocket ratio for me to use?

Hi riders, anyone here experienced your X1r sipping away your EO? For my case, i change EO alr, then 1 week later check my dip stick, its below the minimum level then i have to top up (ard 500ml). So jia lat, like 2-stroke bike siol.

Look at the ground below the engine after overnight parking. Is there oil stain? Probably u got broken gasket.

You could try Kevlar HH pads. Cheers!

Most would prefer to stick to the standard ratio of 15:39, if their bike is factory stock.

Lightly modded bikes usually run on a 15:37 ratio & full modded bikes usually run on a 16:35 ratio.

Then again, load weight and tires also alters the acceleration and top speed of the bike.

May I suggest that you revert back to 15:39?

Any brand you could recommend?

Ebc pads are fine for me, but they do not come in HH for our bikes. (from what I know)

Only organic pads but they have lasted me a very long time and still braking strong and low brake dust.

Good in dry and also wet. $25 per pads cash and carry from the cmo here.

Thanks for the recommendation but I was like looking for HH if possible. If current pads wear out before I could find then i'll prolly try the EBCs..
