Certainly not old on the roads.

Using back the original cover looks nicer.

Well. Yeah. It's gonna be new FOREVER unless we spankers decide to make it a necessity. NOT. Haha.

To me, the original is perfect. Whoever designed that horrendous sight, definately lost a screw somewhere. Haha.

Then again, no offence, but to each his own. :)

It all depends on how you ride. I agree with eddictive with regards to vanity. Most spankers down their forks for a sportier look.

Lowering your forks might give you a lower center of gravity, but note that most shops would bore out your clamps to slide the forks in deeper, reducing the tensile strength of the clamps. Better shops would proceed to cut the top of your forks to even out the height balance. Most shops don't.

Uneven alignment of your forks, even by a mere 1 milimetre, in the long run causes serious wear and tear damage.

Should you proceed to lower your forks, be sure to tighten your steering cone, install a fork clamp and stiffen up your springs for your front suspension. Better still, get a damper. OHLINS!! :) Best, switch to 125z forks. :)

Sorry for being long-winded. Hope this helps. Cheers!

ps. We spankers get a little tankslap once in awhile. Sometimes even *****SLAP !! Scary dok !!

3 main reasons why ppl change to aftermarket pipes.

Performance

Sound

Looks

just tune your carb after you change your pipe.

dunno how to DIY, go bring it to the shop you bought it from and ask them to tune it, unless you bought it 2nd hand, go to your regular shop.
