depend on age, and yes yamaha brand bike are exp now due to many rider accident with a yamaha bike(spark, X1-R, R15, R125, 125Z, RXZ)

 

routine depend on ur riding style lo.. for me i change EO once a month...

 

tank is proven to be able to pump 4.5L by @swat. i pump 4.2 b4

Hi guys, just wondering if any X-1 riders wants to purchase a racing carb. There's a guy in thailand who is selling them to me as a package with the exhaust pipe and manifold. I only want the exhaust but not the carb and manifold. If you are interested than maybe we could combine our purchase.

Is the difference much? X1 vs WAVE FC.

Hmmm... Ard 5-9 km/l diff ba...

need some expert opinion. Went to wash my carb. But i dun lyke the new feeling of the bike. It was vibrating crazily. Went back to the shop but mech said its like dat even when i told them that my bike does not vibrate this badly before. To make my heart feel better, he re-tuned the carb. While retuning, i can see white smoke coming out from the exhaust and asked him why is there white smoke. He said could be my piston ring worn out. But after tuning, the smoke was gone. And the mech said my engine is starting to leak. I said ok and ride away. Reached home. I decided to retune the bike by turning the screw found on the right side of the bike and the vibration was back to normal. No white smoke at all.

 

After riding it awhile, I stopped at the junction, a few mins later, the white smoke comes out again. I rev the bike, the smoke was gone. I let it idle, white smoke comes out again. after sometime the white smoke gets thicker. I rev the bike, the white smoke disappears... It seems like the white smoke only comes out when in idling mode.

 

Could it be my piston ring, or something is wrong with my carb and tuning??

 

any advise is greatly appreciated.....

erm, could be many reason...

go to recommended shop and let them check ba...

u can go p@N3t and check, i believe many exp(old) X1 rider goes there

only experience with him for big bikes.. especially with a recent incident (last fri) between him and a friend of mine.. kena chop by $1.7k.. i asked him WTF!!!!

huh, erm... if u tink u/ur friend kena chop by him i nothing to say..

coz i believe there are many other friend of mine goes to him

 

has anybody fixed a yoshimura rear set on their X1 before... I just want to check about the braking power. Is it better ?

 

wat u talking about? u mean racing footrest?

i fix b4, btw braking power doesn't affect by footrest..

if u wan good braking i suggest u using stock footrest with rear disc system..

jus did this setup for my x1 i would say its good

yupz.. rear set = racing footrest.. i read it on some thai forum and they recommend to use stock..

 

how much did you spend installing the disc system?

 

 

anyway, its been awhile since we hv an x1 meet up.. the last time I remember, only 3 riders came down.. haha..
