Bro, just to share with you and any other guy who read this.

You may think that buying parts at Yamaha Hong Leong (the one at Taman Perindustria Tampoi) is cheap, but actually it is very expensive, reason is because you're a walking customer. Remember when i was looking to get CDI/Magnetic Coil? I went there, and they quote me RM300++ for a CDI, i was lucky i did not buy as they say the stock only came in week later. So i went to one shop at Jalan Tampoi beside Petronas Station, i asked them and they quote me RM145 for a new Original Yamaha CDI for X1/SRL110.

I asked them, why hong leong is expensive, they said, as a walk in customer they will chrge a hefty price but those who have member card they get 30% of on every item, that is why they can sell their stuff cheaper.

Hope this is informative to you, because i always see you advertising Yamaha Hong Leong, however...i am not sure of Yamaha parts Distrubutor at the one at Jalan Molek 2/2.

If you wanna get parts, just go normal shop (of coz not at ah boy day/night or anywhere jalan susur la) they cut your throat till your blood runs dry.

I wanted to reccomend this shop @ Taman Setia Indah, they are professional, not pushy and good thing is washing carb is RM8 only.

can you give directions to taman setia indah?? will be beneficial to bro's here...

which place wash bike at rm8? jalan susur/bapok/ah gua lane or banafe stretch? my place is only Rm6 @ Taman Austin Perdana

Taman Setia Indah somewhere near Bandar Dato Onn. Wikimapia.org guys, but if ya really wanna know i can state the direction.

IN JB the rule is, the deeper you get, the cheaper it is. But beware of Xin Motor Service @ Kangkar Tebrau, once he saw singaporean plate, price is different.

Im just sharing, ive been living in JB for 5 years, riding GSR and X1, of course i do my GSR @ unique, but as for cubs, JB is good enough...or i can say better.

Just beware of Ah gua lane and Ah boy day or night. Just beware.

wah slapshot.. we are neighbours.. Im staying at Austin Perdana as well.. I mean part-time staying at AP.. when I check the map, it is near AP, but which shop is it actually.. I was thinking of sending my bike for overhaul because the piston ring wear off already...

Posted

Haha really?

Im staying the cmd guarded lake pines austin perdana, yours?

Ok, direction is, after the flyover you turn left to austin perdana right, then you turn left again before or after the shell & petronas, but instead you just go straight ahead, straight until you pass by a guard post on your left, that is setia indah, after turn left just go straight ahead and on you will reach T junction, the bikeshop on your left.. TCK MOTORSHOP thats the one. The owner blur2 cock but ive been to planet motors, unique and ah lai motorshop..nobody can eliminate my backfire problem except for that blur cock guy by just simple cover one of the airhose with spark plug. Backfire GONE!

as u can see from signature i had an X1 since 08 sep only.. not long but also got 2 1/2 year liao..

though its reali nothing compare to u since 05

i guess u were one of e X1 connection den?

X1 had a bad bad bad name back den was till 08 time when e few of us X1 here were active in SBF events and a few outing

but it last not long b4 all were busy with own stuff...

it's so sad to hear abt the X1 forum history... anyway, it does not only happen in this group. It's happening almost in every threads.. People come and they go.. just come down for a few meet-ups, then decided to change to another bike and join another group... it is very hard to keep track of all the groups you're involved with.. As long as you can click with the new ones, I don't see why you should start to isolate yourself..

Anyway slapshot, I don't know my area very well coz I seldom go back. Usually weekends only. After flyover, I will turn left, then before the petronas, i'll make a left to the end and left again at the round about. My house is on the left side.

Will try and check that place out but if the mech blur2, I'm quite worried.

As for the backfires, its happening on my bike. Backfire happens when cold air gushes in through your exhaust. So what I did was to locate for any exhaust leakage but was not able to find them until i realized that my header was not screwed in tight enough. I can still use my spanner and turn a couple more rounds to tighten the header. So far, no backfire yet.. hehe...

What i meant was the mechanic MAY look blur BUT he's a genius, he is a pro, he is damn friendly and look like he doesnt know how to do business bcoz his stuff are super cheap.

Anw there's no more roundabout already, they changed to T junction weeks back.

Ben, yeah X1 connection, long history, i wouldnt say BAD BAD BAD, i will say HAPPENINF. X1 connection is big, real real big.

slapshot, can you find out for me how much will it cost to change my left-side engine casing at TCK Workshop. I also want to now their operating hours.

Thanks..

crick crick crick....

anyway, was changing my chain and decided to check my front sprocket. So I tried to take out the cover, and realized I need to use an impact srewdriver. Gave it a hard knock and turn but the screwdriver wont move. After 5 mins of trying, I manage to get the cover out without realizing that it was connected to my engine casing. Guess what, my engine cover broke.. only the part that is connected to the plastic cover broke.. anyway idea whats the damage is like for replacements..
