hmm sujak, united trading impex is it a retail shop cum servicing shop..? They do have other bikes parts too right??? If thats the case, it is buy the parts first then ask their mechs to fix for you to avoid cai tou?? And btw where are the usual bike scrapeyards??

United Impex is a YAMAHA agent.. they do not have mechs to install for you. Many bike shops get their products from these agents and charge you more than the retail price.. the usual gimmick they will give you is the cost includes installation.. some easy things you can install yourself but others you need to ask the mechs.. it is advisable to have the agent numbers and call them to check for the parts price and compare them with the shop price.. if its a difference of about $10 to $20, considering the amount of difficulty to install, then I think its worth it to order from shop. But if the difference goes above $50, I suggest you go and buy the parts and look for shops to install for you.. normally, they will charge between $10 to $50 for installation.. for overhaul, the price differs from mechs to mechs..

 

some Yamaha agents you can try..

1) United Trading Impex (Rowell Rd)

2) AUto Machinery (Rowell Rd)

3) Chong Aik (Yamaha) (Desker Rd)

 

Honda AGents (fyi only)

1) FJT (Rowell)

2) Ever Success (forgot the location)

 

but you can always walk ard the rowell/desker rd and ask the diff shops.. some may sell cheaper than the other shops.. but they dun install for you..

For my above mods, you think is it necessary? Coz I jus want make it nice only. Speed mods is least piority. For me is safety, looks an then speed. I'm still considering racing Qatar. I ask from auntie shop they ask me use spark racing Qatar and mod. The qatar price plus mod plus installation I got a quote at 200++... Cfm tio carrothead right?

 

I think you mods is ok.. will make the looks nicer.. perhaps you may want to try going JB and source for the accessories.. cheaper than SG.. we can go in together at night.. hehe..

@sujak ok, find one day free we can go together, but now i serving NS, only weekends =(... that time i went with my friend wash carb, buy mew handle grip and did some re-wiring for my low beam. btw, the racing qatar for spark install x1 $200+ very exp right? and oh, i heard there's this shop called bplus near auntie shop also yamaha agent right? i check with chong aik, they don have x1 fairing but they got the racing footrest cost $117, is it exp?

As for fairings, I asked United Impex and they also no stock but they can help you to order...

 

Btw, what is racing Qatar ah?? Im missing out on something here....

 

as for racing footrest, I suggest you use stock due to the braking power.. but if you want to compromise braking for looks den I think can get cheaper at United Impex.. but must order la...

Singapore has a few if Im not wrong. But Ive only been to the one at corporation rd. Near some chocolate factory. Besides AYE.

 

Among the other agent, United Impex does give good pricing but you will need to check if its a local set or original set.

 

I can bet that Fabian will be resting at home on SUNDAY.. Was involved in NDP before and I can tell that its gonna be a tiring week, day in day out..

@yarlohitslikethat1 bro, sunday no rehersal. singapore confirm more than 1 scrap yard ba. anyway, i think x1 breaks are ok but not very strong. if want better braking maybe rear brakes can change to disc brake lo. don think it'll cost much.

 

@sujak im ok one lah. nv rest also ok haha... maybe next time i should call united impex and chck some pricing. and oh sujak, my mech told me my suspension too high that's why my engine slanted thinking of doing it, but not sure what he said is true or not leh.

NT too sure.. bikewerks charge me $250..

I jus did mine for $140 only.. coz I bought the parts myself at united impex for $100 (rowell rd).. and paid $40 to m1 motoring to fixed it for me..

X1, i jus take only 1mths plus near 2 mth so far, engine all those no prolblems. only change so wear and tear parts coz my bike nearly 6 years oledi.

@sujak i nv go yamaha dealer find leh. i ask from chong aik and ahboy, no stock, forum find 2nd hand also cannot find. so u mean the yamaha dealer have lah! that's good to hear. btw, pillion footrest is there such thing as racing pillion footrest? btw, you know agar how much does it cost to get a x1 racing footrest?
