What happens to fines collected by SPF(TP)?

I thought this is SOP, all revenues (including fines) return back to MOF. That's why we have yearly budget to dispense the funds back to the various ministries and stat boards.

Yes. That's what I thought too until I had to wait more than a month for a reply and still waiting. Thought there would be a standard reply instead I was referred to SPF and then referred again to TP.

I only wanted you to PM me as I wanted to inform you where we had met before in the organization (VSC at "A", at that point of time you were doing administration work. You may have left after so many years.) and maybe we could understand where I was coming from with the reason for posing such a question and maybe put a stop to your irrelevant replies to avoid further embarrassment to yourself. "The fines collected by SPF are credited into the Consolidated Fund, which is constituted by Article 145 of the Constitution, and is intended for expenditures relating to "the public services of Singapore", other than "purposes necessary or related to the development of Singapore". The Consolidated Fund primarily funds the annual operating expenditure of the Government. Data on the revenue collected by SPF for fines can be found at http://www.singaporebudget.gov.sg/revenue_expenditure/attachment/Revenue_Estimates.pdf."

Thats very interesting to know. And someone obviously need to provide the name of the MOF officer that is paid for not doing their job.

 

We really should have more civil serpents that tells people to go elsewhere to look for gahment budget information.......

Yup..... They're on par with CEOs and other executives at a similar level. It's called parity. You do this amount of work with this amount of responsibility, this is the payoff then...
