Today rode to work without any gloves and my hands started to get tired after just 15minutes of riding.

So the BMW grip didn't work this time ha ha. So, to cut the story short, gloves helps the most in absorbing most of the handle vibration.

Mine's 125cc nia, which has to give good fuel economy isn't it?

And 360km for 12L, on soft compound tires. [i.e. 30km/L.]

If on stock tires, it'll be 35.5km/L or around 420km for 12L.

Haha.

What to expect?? 125cc VS 300cc, sure 300cc lose in fuel economy mah.

Hmm.... I donno if that is a correct way of calculating tho...

Shldnt it be more hp equals to lighter on the throttle?

In a way yes. But don't forget the additional 20-30kg of engine weight to laug about.

Kymco Xciting 300ri out of stock. =(

Oh. So you were the one whom Herbert was talking about just now. Was at the showroom.

I so heard that he may not want to bring in Xciting 300Ri already. Haha. Last unit just sold. If I'm not wrong, also a titanium color.

Why don't you consider a used buy then?? If you don't mind the older looks, that's even cheaper. Haha.

Anyways, I asked Herbert.

"When will the Xciting 400i start production in Taiwan??".

He replied, "September- October".....

So I guess, by the time the Xciting 400i comes to Singapore, it'll be after I've enrolled for my 2A [i.e. After October lah]. Haha.

That's still a good 8 months of waiting from now. Haha.

Hi guys,

Sorry for asking what some may consider a stupid question. Am still a noob when it comes to scooters.

I have a can of the blue grease too... I have been using it to lube the chain and the footpeg springs of my Phantom TA 200.

On a scooter, what do you use the grease for? I mean what are the parts that need lubrication?

I heard that it is coming in Aug 2012 if there are no hiccups. I will wait for the new Xciting then. Not sure if the new Xciting 400i fuel consumption can be comparable to Xciting 300 given that it is a new engine. Long wait for at least another 6 months. =(

Get wiser as each day passes...

Bought from Hodaka Motorworld @$15

I have been looking for a good grease for lubricating the rear spindle and rear torque assembly. The grease need to withstand high load and high speed and high temperature. The rear gear box is very hot and the spindle and needle bearing only lubrication is grease unlike the gears that is soak in gear oil. As the rear transmission is also spinning at extremely high speed with higher speed so a good grease is crucial. I hope this grease is adequate.

Refer to this site to have a better description.

Come to think of it, i dont think you have a chance to do it anyway, as you need tools to open up and the know how to do something like that. So, in the mean time the grease can be use for lubrication the petrol cap seal and other general purpose stuff.

Haha. Cool blue grease!!

If Xciting 400i starting production in Aug-Oct, how the heck would shipment to Singapore be in Aug?? Haha. That would be interesting!!

I'd give a safe arrival month for the Xciting 400i on Oct, to avoid disappointments.

But the things I prefer DT over to Xciting 300Ri is the slightly lower seat height, so I'm more confident at stopping at lights with both legs down.

And the more upright and easy reach to the handle bars of the DT VS Xciting's slightly sportier riding position, and of course the underseat space of the DT VS Xciting.

But Xciting wins in twin front disc, full front forks, and the looks lah. Haha.

So very hard to decide for newbies, I can understand =D

Oh.

MotorSports now have Kenda tires for those who need to change tires.

I don't think they had it the last time.

Previously they only carried Dunlop and Shinko if I'm not wrong. That's why I changed to Metzeler from the stock Maxxis.

Didn't ask the price though. Could be expensive.

Metzeler FeelFree costs $170 (for both front and rear) from JR Ltd, which is just down the road from MS.

They don't install the tires though. But shouldn't be a problem buying then bring it to MS to change bah.

My next tire change, I'll not consider Kenda if it's 1) Expensive, and 2) Not as good performing as the pair of Metzeler.

It also means that the BMW grip works better ona BMW cause the engine vibrate less than ours......lol

One cylinder technology.

BMW gonna make 1.5L turbocharged, direct injection 3-cylinder engine for the new 1&3-series cars, producing 162bhp.

Bearing in mind their current 1.6Turbo engine produces 156bhp and 170bhp.

Smaller than the BMW GT1600 6-Cylinder engine. Haha!!!
