Riding no problem, infact I don't even feel anything. I am concern only after I saw the un natural wear on the disc and the pads seems to finish very fast. Any maxi Scooterist care to share what mileage your pads wear ? I know it's subjective to riding style and city or highway use but just a gauge only.

Well, you definitely have a wear issue there with the rear brake, mine (rear) were changed at 10,000km and they were completely gone, as for the front they looked like new. As for the discs there is no sign of wear they look in pretty good shape

I consider my riding style as average, not too aggresive not too gentle.

As for the tyres they kind of look ok, I may be able to get a total of 20,000km out of them. Not an expert on tyres but perhaps in hot countries like yours the wear is higher.

Stop riding like Valentino Rossi and you will notice the difference :cheeky:

Whoa! Means Motorsports managed to clear all the current DT300i!!! That's mighty impressive considering its quite a lot.....!!!

Anyways, just pumped my first tank of fuel since my return from the US. Fuel consumption of 32km/L!! But this time round I ride averagely slower. Its usually 30.5km/L.

Ok, let me take a stab at it.

1.Price : 7K plus, when I bought it in the last week of Dec 2011

2.Power : 163 cc air cooled engine. My other ride is a Phantom TA 200, so really cannot compare. I have never ridden a scooter before. I am not a hard rider but I notice that it accelerates very quickly from 0 to 40. Then it pulls

up rather quickly upto to 60. The acceleration from 60 to 80 is a bit slower. I am still breaking in, so have not touched max speeds. I have read that it can do 110 km/hr.

The power is good enough for city riding in my opinion. The disc brakes are really good with lots of stopping power. Of course it is not the fastest bike in its category. The Kymco Downtown 125 is probably a little more powerful if you look at the specs as it has a water cooled engine. But then, I am told that a forced air cooling on a scooter means lesser maintenance.

3.Fuel consumption : So far the scoot is giving me 30 km / l but I am still running in (only 350 km so far). Will update once I finish 3 services.

4.weight : about 110 kg

5.Fuel capacity: 6 litres

6.Comes with what accessories: Came with a colored box and Chrome skirting.

7.Maintenance cost: I am told that maintenance is less as the engine is fuel injected and air cooled. Will update this as the bike ages!

8.Handling : The bike feels very agile, but then I was riding a Phantom before so cant really compare. It has a very small turning radius. But smaller 12 inch scooter wheels means it cant soak up the bumps like my Phantom. Bro parotae thinks that this is normal scooter behavior and asked me to adjust the dual rear shocks to their lowest position when I go for my first service. Will update once I do this.

9.top speed : 110 I am told but never done it.

I bought this as my commute to work bike (2 km either way) as I wanted a convenient twist and go machine to ride to work in the heavy traffic. So the mileage on my Like 200i is still rather low as I am not a heavy user. So far I am quite pleased with the looks ( my bike gets stares from other riders and drivers whenever I stop at a traffic light). The acceleration is decent in its category and it is really a fun scooter to ride on a daily basis. It is not a very powerful bike, but then if I wanted power I would rather go in for a motorcycle and not a scooter.I will report on the performance and maintenance as I finish my first 3 services. I have ridden it a few times in light to moderate rain and it seems to feel quite stable with its disc brakes.

My weekend bike is my trusted old Phantom (8 years old and still good).

A very well described details bro .... thanks alot for such useful info and do update us on the 'VESPA' look-alike ....

Haha. I passed 2B almost 6months ago, and I already told myself I wanted automatic. So many traffic lights here, and start-stop traffic conditions, no fun riding manual. And tiring too.

So ended up, thanks to my dad too, got the DT125i =D

What color is yours again??
