Lol. Maybe SC stands for Sports Compression?? Super Charge don't have an effect on engine capacity what.

from 270cc bumped up to 399cc, that's a lot of difference! The engine is also co-developed with BMW isn't it? The Xciting 300Ri is co-developed with Honda??

If the fuel consumption is between 25 to 28km/l, I think that is quite good already. Will not hesitate to buy. Just not sure what is the fuel tank capacity. Hopefully is not the same like 13 litres. Hopefully will be 14 litres or 15 litres..

Fuel consumption for YZFR15 is very good. at least 42km/l. Whole tank definitely can go up to 500km. 12 litres for whole tank. Ok good, when you going to take your Class 2A? haha.. I plan to take Class 2 though I am not getting a class 2bike.

Bro, I just passed in Oct. Now into 2 months of riding, so still have another 10 more months.

By the time I get my 2A, should be 2013 thereabouts le. Haha. Not sure if you are willing to wait that long or not.

The Homologous unit for Xciting 400i should be coming in a few months earlier from launch, so if shipment arrives in Oct, showroom unit will probably be in around Aug?? Haha.

Same for the GrandDink 300i. Shipment only arrives after CNY, but they already have the homologous unit in their showroom.

$27k I will rather go buy a second hand car already. The DN-01 looks cool but with a heavy price tag. Think only foreigners will buy that. But most of them will buy Harley.

What 2nd hand car can you buy with $27k now? Haha.

The last I checked [last year if I rmb], the DN-01 was going for $27k.... Now should be at least $30k. Or maybe Honda scrapped the model le due to poor sales, I'm not sure about that.

That bike actually looks good, with the engine from the Deauville. Just that the price was the hindering factor.

I hope so too.

Currently, my DT125i fuel tank capacity is 12.5L, today I pumped 30km/L. That's a theoretical range of 375km only. I travel about 45km/day..... I usually pump over 10 litres, when the last bar is flashing. Till date, I haven't dared pump with the fuel reserve light on.

Xciting 400i I hope to have fuel tank capacity of at least 15L, and fuel consumption of 25km/L will be great =)

If I am going to buy I will send a personal message to you or email if you have one. Where are you going to learn your class 2A? I just passed my class 2A in Oct too. Planning to take class 2 in Oct 2012 also. haha..

When you said showroom unit, it will be at Motor Sports? Mahpherson? Not sure if the unit that is coming to Singapore will be exactly like that one from Internet with the black wind screen in front. Yellow looks cool!

Actually to be honest, for a scooter to travel more than 300km for full tank is quite good. For my bike, I usually pump until the very last litre. I have been riding my bike for 2 years already so I know where is the limit. Full tank usually between 510 to 520km. For your scooter, actually is quite good.

Xciting 400i I think if they follow the usualy engine capacity then will be again 13 litres fuel tank capacity which is sad.. but I will still buy haha..

I'm enrolling for my 2A the moment my probation expires lorh. So it'll be Oct 2012.

Yes. Showroom unit I'm referring to MotorSports@macPherson Citimac building there.

I intend to change the windshield of the Xciting too, maybe to the DownTown's or something larger.

I hope they'll have Silver/ Titanium though. Yellow is too strong for me already. Haha.

Btw, I have introduced my friend Kymco as well. He is very skeptical about taiwanese products, but after some research, he also decided to buy a Kymco Scooter. Currently, just waiting for COE to drop below 1k. We will join the Kymco Gang soon..

:)

Good meah? 30km/L?

I was getting 35.5km/L, then I change to soft-compound tyres [Metzeler FeelFree], the fuel consumption dropped to 32.5km/L. Then after I send for oil-filter change and synthetic oil change, it drop to 31.5km/L, then today's 30.1km/L....

COE drop to below $1k? Gotta wait long long man. Haha.

It's crazy to see so many FBF registered bikes around. Suddenly everybody is changing bikes. The demand for motorbikes is there lah. Just go driving centre and see. So many students learning.

That's what my friend said. COE will definitely drop, currently already 1.4k not too far away lolx. Just not sure when is the time that falls below 1k. when I bought my bike, the COE is $900 haha.

For me, I will wait for the Xciting 400i to come to Singapore. See anyone in this thread will join me to buy this bike.

Ya. I read your thread. Unless you change to other tyres but you cannot confirm if the tyres is the main problem? But I am puzzled, when do you change your bike tyres so fast? I thought you just bought only? The stock tyres is crap???

Most find the stock, Maxxis tires good enough, but I was comparing the wet weather performance with the Honda CG125 the driving ctr uses, the Maxxis actually performed poorer....

I changed to Metzeler FeelFree a few weeks after I got my license. $199 for both front and rear.

The handling characteristics in both dry and wet conditions have improved tremendously! It's well worth the investment, but it's continuous as it reduces fuel consumption thanks to more grip from the tires....

I may want MotorSports to install Metzeler tires for me free with the Xciting 400i, together with installing Givi E52 top box + bracket.....

Try to ask for as much freebies as possible. Haha! Standard top box they give is Shad SH40i which is small for me. I changed to SH45i not long after too. Haha!

I just want a nice top box, stylish ones. Not sure where to find. Probably need a GPS phone holder. Not sure about Metzeler.. is it really that good? I am using bridgestone currently for my current bike. quite happy with it.

If the grip is there then is good. Just a minor decrease in fuel consumption is fine. Anyway, you won't ride that for long. Another 1 year then will change. haha..

Yeah. Metzeler tires are really good! Try it and you'll be amazed.

Gotta push for freebies, cos MS is the monopoly for Kymco here.... =(

May even ask them to change the windshield to the DT's or MyRoad's.... Haha!

Maybe install a free lock for the glove compartment too.

So many things to fight for freebies!!

Oh. On top of the top box, they give free helmet too.

hmmm even synman not using alarm? Why is that so? Ya gsr has always been that type of range .... Go for xciting la... Hahaha

Nah. I don't use alarm. Haha.

DT125i enough for Singapore roads. But I'm already counting down the 10 months left to enrol for Class 2A!!

Before I got the DT, I was planning to get the Suzuki GSR 400 for my 2A getaround, but based on used prices [2 yrs old going for $12-$14k], 3yrs old going for $10k, etc],

It makes my choice of getting the Xciting 400i a much more convincing and easier choice! HAHAHAH!

It's crazy lorh, that kind of pricing. It wasn't so high before I got my 2B license.

After my 2B license, prices escalate like xiao!!!

S4 is also holding its value very well too. Thanks to lack of choices in the 2A market, especially for street bikes.

But really, I'm sold on scootering. Weird thing is my dad is riding an even sportier bike than me. He says scooter are meant for retirees =(

Dun worry....can continue to ride with low fuel light on even....then the Last bar will disappear... I rode till that, then pumped 11.8 litres on my DT300i
