Hi guys,

I had a skid today when turning out from BKE onto mandai road towards yishun. Rain had already stopped but i guess the road is still slippery, i had slow down before the turn but i still skidded. Suffered some abrasion to my right kneecap, thank god i was wearing my mesh jacket and glove.

The problem is that my bike suffer severe scratches, and I wonder if i should send it for a checkup. The temperature was normal when I was riding back and the accleration and braking was not affected. Any suggestions what i should do?

Tend to ur wound 1st, check whether u suffer more injuries or not.

After that, bring ur bike to a reliable bike shop and check alingment and see any more damage to ur bike. cosmetic no choice 1 lar.. next time then touch up lor..

Take care and ride safe~

sorri to hear that dude. i skidded along Mandai as well after Mandai hill camp towards Woodlands rd few months back

glad to know your injuries are minimal from your protective gear... do make sure you get yourself checked out well in case there are any internal injuries you don't know of

then send bike to shop for them to have a once over...

if can prob best to pay and fix anything yourself to prevent any insurance claims for future NCB :)

get well soon :)

Grounded... :/

i actually skidded quite badly so couldn't move my bike

i hurt my back and broke my tail bone when i skidded and slid and hit the u turn kerb

so some good samaritans stopped and called ambulance for me

then my bike kena tow by TP :(

i contacted my bike shop in Yishun and got the letter from TP and they got their people to get it out of the vehicle pound and fixed it up for me

my case was worse than yours coz i couldn't ride it at all...

but was also fully geared up head to toe so didn't get a single scratch

i got back on the road in about 3 weeks from the accident, riding with a sore ass... hahahaha

but even now when it rains, i wear my rain gear over my jacket and dun care if my leather gloves get wet... i know the leather becomes softer and all when wet, but better than bare skin! haha

i use my yp250 as my goods transport vehicle so most of the time it's seriously overloaded at the back. Bike only skids whenever i make a turn on metal drainage plates, otherwise it's very stable.

I suggest you change to better tyres and make sure the air is filled to a correct amount.

ORD LOH!!!
