Dear TS,

I dont think this is an appropriate way to do this.

It will be a real hassle if anything unforeseen happened.

You can opt to buy a non-rider insurance and FYI, you dont need to own a class 2 license to buy a class 2 bike. It can be purchase without any insurances or taxes in lay-up condition. (Not road worthy)

Why will you want to buy a class 2 bike when you dont have the appropriate license to operate it in Singapore ?

Are you going to bring the bike beyond the border permanently ?

Just out of curiosity.

Kindest Regards

my understanding is that even if you get a brand new superbike in malaysia, the bike shop will not allow you to loan too much, as there is really not much resale value for the superbike, thus need to down a lot of cash.

Now, you know why sg superbikes are so "popular" in malaysia... *sniggers*

hi Klein_amd,

i am malaysian with singapore driving license both car n bike(class 3 & 2A).If i am not wrong,a malaysian cant ride or drive singapore register car & bike unless u have valid singapore license.I dont think u can ride it legally in malaysia.Just my 2 cents comment. Please do it legally,if anything happen to u,u cant claim anything from the insurance company and u will be in trouble in singapore n malaysia as well( as well as the person who help u to get the insurance in singapore)... think before u do it...

If u have international license can liao. Most of my msian workers who ride SG bikes only have international license.

PS: even cannot its Msia leh....Got ex worker no license ride in to sg daily leh.... Msia boleh :cheeky:

And if the insurance company issue you your insurance certs its only in due care that u have proper documentation to be covered by it. :thumb:

hi,

would like to make clear of the statment.I had check with LTA,a malaysian worker only can ride sg bike with international license but not more than 1 year.Or else the person need to take basic theory test and convert their license to singapore license. If you say ex-worker no license ride to sg daily,is this mean you imigresen and the TP no working?Hope you keep ur words if you dont have the prove.
