red light cam!!!

hi guys wanna ask does red light cam hv flash during the day too or in the afternoon. cos jus nw when i'm going to pass this traffic light car infront of mi sudden slow down n lane change n my speed was like 70km n did't manage to stop on time so i pick up n go but the traffic ilght turn red when my front tire already half pass the white line. but the cam did't show any flash or wat.

To begin with, if you beat that red light, you're speeding, if you're speeding, your engine is probably revving to hear anything else around you.

 

You'll see 2 extremely bright flash of light! Cannot be missed.

If it flashed, you'll observe it, its so obvious that its even visible in the day time.

I dun understand abt the part u mention the car infront of u suddenly slow down and lane change but u cant manage to stop in time?

 

If he slow down dosen't mean u oso shld slow down already or u saw he slow down but u just heck care and wanna beat the traffic light?

1 of 3 scenerio that could have happened

 

1) u're just in time n the cam wasn't activated

2) u activated the cam, but jam brake inside the junction, 2nd photo will show u're inside the junction, u can appeal for various reason, most likely will get accecpted.

3) cam caught u, dont lie about ur speed cos fr the photo can roughly judge, 2nd photo will show u're out of the junction, in this case, no use explaining.

i've initially heard it was 3sec, but i hv my doubts, 1st sec, traffic fr the other side would hv moved, by 3rd sec, they're either in the centre of the junction or just reaching the end. a more reasonable would be 0.3sec.

 

initially when the cam was implemented, it was 0sec, thus there was a lot of appeal, then lta lax the rule a bit.

n saw tat moz 'T' junctions, for e road tat can go straight or turn right, e cameras only aims at the straight road..does tat mean the camera dont snap if u turn right even if right turn arrow finish blinking 3x..?

tink tat traffic light shd oso hav countdown timer like e pedestrian crossing ones..

like tat den riders no need play guessing game wen e light will change..

i think so, 1 flash, 1 camera. or maybe 1 sensor, 1 camera/flash.

 

if it's on 1 side only, that means it's aiming on one way of the road, including turns. the camera has very wide angle.

if 3 sec, i would have travelled like 3 arrows. say red light, and after 1 sec i beat, by 3rd sec i would have travelled out of junction n about 1/2 arrow (depend on speed) out of junction.

but observe right turn lane like got no sensor liddat.. e sensor like usualli horizontal frm left 2 right lane oni for the straight lane..

what i meant is consideration from the other side, u c, by 3rd sec if the traffic is able to cross the junction, then if u were to beat red light on the 2.5-2.9 sec, traffic are already flowing, thus meaning an accident were to happen. so i dont think it was ever 3sec for cam to activate. the '3' most likely came from 3 arrows n dont know how it translate to 3 sec for the cam.

On monday, scenario 2 happened to me. I was going straight (auntie shop that area) when i brake & stop when the traffic turned amber & eventually red. However, im not sure how i somewhat trigger the red light camera!!! My bf was behind me & we saw the camera flashed. Only half of my front tire was over the white line. (not the pedestrian crossing line but the line where we're suppose to stop)

 

I did not cross the traffic light junction but what causes the camera to trigger? & i was the first vehicle to reach the white line so im pretty sure it was me who triggered it. Im kinda worried now will i be issued a summon & 12 demerit points? Im still a p-plate & 12pts will get my license revoke. Ive checked the Eddies website but theres no record found.

 

So im a safe or dead?! Appreciate advise & views.
