wad happened to ur fork

hey guys. i would really need some consultation here.

few days back, i msged the guy who sold me his CBR400RRR and question him about the fork.

he told me that during his ownership he changed one of the fork because the previous one was dead and couldn't bounce back. (quoted from him)

i also asked him to double confirm if the fork he changed was made for R model.

he said "yes."

today i went K&T to check my fork. the boss, Clifford, told me that my fork problem lies with something in the tube inside it. he said something like it is too big thus causing the oil not being able to be controlled hence bounces back very fast.

with what he said and the previous owner said, i was wondering if there is any possibility that the older fork which was not replaced is off different model?

K&T boss said, the only way to identify it is to open up and see. which means servicing fees and all.

he also quoted me that one fork for R model would cost $250. and $50 for each side servicing. altogether $350.

I also told him that previously my fork was done by bikelab and the expression on his face shows disbelief. was wondering if the boss of bikelab even knows that different model has different dimension for the fork? (provided it's true)

i really need some advise from you guys, desperately.

diff bike have diff fork diameter internally..

that y the fork oil quantity is diff for diff model.

the damping is result from the shim within the fork.
