anybody selling 2nd hand street legal pipes?

hi, i bought my cbr i think more than a month from a shop, now still haven get my bike, two weeks ago they call me say the bike need over haul, still wrong with the con rods i think, wth does the con rod do? now they mechanics say they searching for the parts, cant even give me a date when it will be done, can i buy it else where? is it expensive?

bro, u have to be very careful. when I just bought my bike, it was at the workshop for more than 3 weeks. bikeshop say need to overhaul coz when change to gear 2 than the bike produce a very loud dragging sound. after I got the bike, I overhaul again coz one of piston can't move as the spark plug melted alr. in the end spend 1.2k just to change head n carburettor coz mine found out that the previous bikeshop just glue it together. have say I rewire the bike. Haiz.

Tiat tiat sound is probably your valve sound. Time for valve clearance lioz... $$$$$... hehe..

 

For temp problem:

 

1) Flush your coolant and replace with flesh new coolant, dun forget the coolant reservoir as well. (I personally prefer maxima coolaide)

2) Check that your water pump/thermostat and radiator cap are working properly

3) Change your fan switch sensor to the type that will switch on your fan at a lower temp

4) If got $$$$ change all hoses as well

 

For me, even on a hot day in a traffic light stop, my temp nv hit more then half way point.

The only temp-wise problem I have is, once I reach my destination I have wait till the fan turns off before I can turn off the ignition.

Bro Fx110 got teach me how to fix this before. But I forgot lioz.

I think something like connect one wire from the fan switch direct to the battery or something like that. Have to look at the wiring diagram to see. lol.

serious? no warranty? ithought the shop will give you at least a month waranty, im afraid of that too man, but nothing much i can do about it though. just pray hard they dont give me lousy workmanship.

Guys, anyone encounter this prob before? When you open throttle quickly, got this mechanical sound from the carbs before the revs start to rise. If open throttle slowly, no such sound. Could it be the throttle cable worn out? Thanks for the help

 

Most probably the sound of your shim, need to do valve clearance. If throttle cable worn out should not have this kind of sound, you can off your engine and twist your throttle and try...

 

Hmm quite hard leh haha. Sounds like the carbs are opening. Anyway, another issue is that when revs hit 9-10k, the engine starts to choke a little. Has that got to do with carb tuning? Thanks!

 

Sounds like carbs are dirty, need to wash/tune carbs.

This thing is to remove the power cut is it? Just ask your mechanic to remove the powercut, can save your money.

Yep, they do have 1 mth warranty. After one month, my bike kept dying at traffic light. so I went to my long time fren bikeshop. rewire coz 300 Liao. the change battery 60. then change the head, gasket n carburettor 1.2 Liao.

Seems like the shop is trying to buy time from you. Gasket is easily available one. Weird that they say no stock. Which gasket are they refering to?

I use to go there when I first got my blade. Then I switched to ah beng after he cannot solve my electrical problems last time.
