Attention all riders. A word of caution. Should you into JB by 1st link that is through Woodlands checkpoint, please ride carefully and slowly once you passed the JB customs. It seems that there are a LOT of potholes and gravel once you exit the customs especially at the U-turn and into Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Even the roads after the flyover towards JB customs heading to Singapore suffer the same problem. The roads must have been made of low quality products that after many days of rain, the ground just softened and break under pressure from all the vehicles. Luckily I noticed the problem, if not sure buang. Just ride slow and steady guys... :goodluck: :thumb:

wat u mean is the bulb connecting to the wire socket got problem or is it u cannot put in the bulb into the headlight portion??

if is the wire socket, make sure yr bulb is a H4 bulb..

if u cannot slot in the headlight, is the 3 small metal pieces around the bulb..

u hav to bend 2 of them, as the metal pieces cannot inline wif the grooves in the headlight portion..

yeah.. itz a H4... yup the 3 metal parts... seem that the 2 below cannot fit into the groove.. hahaah.. thx for your advise.. i wil try to bend it.. thx.. :cheer:

suitably sized 4 pot pistons can provide the same braking power and feel as that of a 6 pot caliper..

that is minus the hassle of maintaining 6 pot calipers... if the pistons do not retract properly (and it does happens over time), the braking is way worse than a 4pot... also imagine the cost of maintaining 6 pistons calipers, if each pistons uses 2 O rings you'll need to replace 24 O rings for the 2 front calipers as opposed to 16 O rings for 4 pots..

all and for all if 6 pots doesn't comes stock.. don't bother changing to one...

i sure wasnt aware that proper size 4 potters equals to 6 potters ( Gee thks )

regarding the maintenance 4 potters need like 2 dust / 2 oil seal * 2

compare to 6 potters need like 3 dust / 3 oil seal * 2

ehh... pardon me.. but...

i thought as long as u get a new license class, and is driving/riding that class, u must put the P-plate? that is, if i ride 2a, i need not put p-plate. but if i just got a class2 and is riding one, then i need to put p-plate. no? (cos like that i'm considered under probation for class2 mah, no?)

if so, then... when get a new license class, u revert back to only max 12 d.p instead of 24pts mah.... no uh?

errr... dunno if i phrase it clearly or not... u guys understand?

i could be wrong... but that's how i interpret the rules since day 1 when i took driving lessons, and then riding lessons.....

anyone care to clear this up?

ya.. i understand how that's supposed to feel after servicing.. imagine 280 for 2 * 2pot calipers and 1 rear caliper; how much would it cost to fully overhaul an old 6 pot brake system...

I did it before and the price is not nice.. :cheeky: since your brakes are working great now... it's better to move on and spend the cash on some other worthy upgrades..

When I got my Class 2A licence, i got myself a GSXR400N. Had some major problems with the bike that costed me a lot of money to repair it. However, the problems appeared I was involved in a bad accident and I must say that I too was at fault for not maintaining it properly after I buang it. After my bike got into another accident and got scrapped, I bought another GSXR400R model and this bike served me well for 7 years without any major problems.

Get the GSX bike. It looks much beautiful and fiercer than the CBR and now, it is cheap and affordable. :thumb:

Hey man u come into CBR thread say GSX better, heheh not very nice huh

I have tried GSXR, CBR and ZXR, old and new, in PG and Sepang and I dare say all bikes have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Been riding CBR400 for some time now and I trust it very much on street as well as track.
