help help , my CBR got problem , I find out that once I on my headlight my battery stop charging once I off headlight battery start charging again , my Rectifier change last year dec $95, where got so fast spoilt , what happen to my CBR ? what should I do ? :cry: :cry: :cry:

hi duckmeats,

 

a similar problem happened on my blade a few weeks back. the batt couldn't charge properly when i switched on high beam, even though the rpm was above 4k.

 

at tt point of time, i had already changed a new rectifier, new batt and checked tt the wirings were all OK a month back. so, it was down to the magnetic coil or the switch.

 

rather than change a new coil which would burn my pockets royally, i decided to change the light switch 1st to see if tt was the problem. u know, sometimes the connections in there could be all cocked up after these years. and bingo, the switch was the problem and my $85 switch solved an otherwise expensive repair.

 

wad i suggest is u get the mech to check the wiring IN the switch, the headlights, and general wiring, before committing ur $$ to a new coil.

 

hope i didn't get anything wrong...
