oic. but i tink straight away to spray job shop will be better then lesser 'admin' charges. haha tat's wat i tink.

oh sorry, forgot to mention i spend bout $1000 on repairs,so i sent for spray at e same time,true i agree wit u,if i didnt do the repairs id probably sent to spray shop too..should be cheaper i guess..

casue this bike already 10 yrs. mostly some parts need to change.. or those who have already overhaul their engine..or those who take care their bike well.. i saw 1 tread in garages sales.. he say his 4 the gear clear meter.. white colour wan.. i think his bike nt bad try go n view ba.

hi guys i am going to change my rear suspension due to wear. i do not bother to service it because i hear from ppl who have done servicing to the rear suspension and still had props. so i am planning to change to a brand new suspension. i have checked with a shop near jurong and he qouted 450 plus labour fee. i think its not bad price. pls check out for me if you all drop by to any bike shop. thanks.

 

and i left my bike at workshop to day cause there is coolent sperting out from my left side of the bike when very hot. i was wondering how come coolent is leaking from the carburator area(near the fuel on/reserve area). once i remove the tank then i realised that one of the hose is a bit torn. but the torn seems like due to wear and tear.i will get back to you all on how much i spent on this minor repair. the only prop is that the mechanic will have to remove the carb in order to replace it.

 

 

 

pls check out the price for the new rear suspension. honda genuin parts is selling for $350

was planning to service my suspension too..really bad..now tat i heard ur story might be planning to change new one as well..anyone here serviced their rear suspension and still face probs?...anyone to share their experience on suspensions?

reading from tis thread i can share my price of cbr.. i spent already 2.5k to replace all the wear and tear and accessories till nth to change already until i skid yesterday need go for new paint job.. sad but i still loves my bike as long as no more part needed to change anymore.. lol

 

any1 pushing in their blade wanna trade fairing wif me? i can top up alittle cos no money do a full respray.. looking for single colour prefer white.. my right mid fairing and saitao scratches due to skid but the rest in perfect..

Honda genuine part from thailand izzit or are they getting it from Japan? coz the japan one costs $600 lor. Olins cost 1.4-1.6k now. or are they giving u a 2nd hand one? Think u better ask the shop carefully.

 

As for hose, if 1 spring a leak, i think u better ask him check the rest of the 7 hoses, coz usually their life span is about the same .. if 1 goes, it'a a matter of time before the others also have problems.

I had all of mine replaced at the same time coz i didn't want to be on NSH when suddenly my bike start spurting coolant.

MSS 250-400 may not happen dis yr still to confirm yet as of 3-4 yrs I race in MSS thats wat they say last yr coz Prillia dun wana sponsor..as for mod ur bike u will nid 5K at least no kidding..fastest way get a ZX4 hehe..my CBR has HRC gearbox,FCRs,HRC Full system,HRC CDI,Race Rad still cannot b as fast as the ZX4 unless ur as rider is gud.CBR's are risky to race as they blow up easily if u dun maintain regularly as race conditions are diff.If u really wana do it just put on a race can.Do/change ur suspension,get race fairings and gud tyres juz till u get gud timing.Then we can talk other mods.

good to hear you're fine...sounds like i changed everything u mentioned above plus a new radiator and a lil more...i spent bout $1000..for fairings try k n t..reasonable price(plus when i went searching,couldnt find other shop selling 2nd hand fairing)..the rest of the repairs should be roughly the same at any shop i guess...try askin around diff shops to get 2nd hand parts.cos not all shops will have everything.tats wat i did...

fairing can be re-fibre back.just check it out at ubi spray shop just few steps after K&T.while others can try-out scrapyard.

Good to hear that you are ok. Rest well.

Cost wise it depends on whether you are planning to get 2nd parts or new ones. if all 2nd hand ones i think 1.2k should do it.

If new ones.. definately 2k.

it all depends whether u still wan to ride. but normally anything after a crash most likely other parts also abit affected. so IMHO, if u got spare cash then do up, if not jus move on and get a new one.
