Yamaha TZM 150 Riders

Avoid unique.. Kana be4, one thing after another the sales person say spoilt and ask to change. But its my s4 not tzm.

 

Was quoted 1.7k - 2k for a complete rebuilt at Un1que.

Looking for a place to rebuild my TZM as in overhaul+repair frame/subframe, service brakes, rear shocks etc.

 

Fairings/paintwork can do in JB but can recommend somewhere good and reliable hopefully cheap in Singapore?

hey guys, planning to get a TZM for myself.. may i noe the pros n cons for TZM? Im always a fan of TZM, but didnt have the chance to get one. A lot of ppl says TZM is a problematic bike. N its very expensive to do everything. So I get a KR. Its a nice bike, not really much problem. But, sad story my bike went MIA wif my friend i trusted. I cant contact him at all.. So im using tiz chance to mayb get a TZM. I cnt compare both of them as I havent tried TZM before. So may i get any advice from those who owns TZM. better still if u guys cn compare the both of them. =] If nt i'll just get another KR or some 4 stroke bike. N may i noe wat's the insurance nw for 19yr old going 20, p plate. thank u. =]

u can never go wrong with a M, have riden lots of 2B bikes, tZm n tZr still the best 2 stroker in its class..n btw, every bikes got their own problems if u dont know how to take care of it...

Was OTW to my parking spot, I freewheel in gear 1 because very near already, suddenly the bike died then I simply couldn't start it as per normal. Never encountered this before, what could be the problem? Oh yeah and recently the lights on the dash started fading but I just recharged the batt a month ago.

Might be carb overflow, not a big problem...start the bike will do, do make it a habit to turn off ur fuel if ur parking ur bike overnight...

I think tZm when u turn the throttle, the lights will turn brighter, so it's normal too..

Happen to me once when I'm riding my brand new y2k tZm then ganna stop by TP, he ask y I never on lights, then I blow to let him see then he LL let me go..

hey guys, i was just wondering. how do u guys take care of ur TZM? How long do u guys do ur servicings n so on. How much n at where? I want to noe more abt taking care of the bike n hw to choose the rite TZM before i get one. Its a waste to buy one but dunno hw to take care of it..

Normal servicing of valve , carb , engine oil , spark plugs and some other minor stuffs need to be done 2-3 mths.. Block and piston at least every 6 mths must service .. Nvr service those , it's as good as a gone case Tzm.. Been riding almost for 4 yrs.. Take care of it , it'll take care of u.. Valve is the most prone area to lack the power in your M... Always must service , if not will start leaking and that's one of the common symptoms on a Tzm..

 

About where to service , can ask Kerplunkz to bring u to a place in JB. Price is very very affordable and mech is extremely reliable coz he nvr burn your pocket with any unnecessary stuffs.

 

And pls take note , the more you mod your M the more it'll drink petrol like coke.. Massive drinker..

and about tzm?why the pickup speed abit slow ah?and which 2t is the best for tzm bikes?im currently using shell 98 petrol and Shell advance VSX 2t oil for my bike..and sometimes my bike feels heavy?why is that?and another thing,any recommended workshop to do servicing for tzm?coz im going to send my bike for monthly servicing soon and im currently super tight on budget right now..im hoping to find some good place to do my servicing which dont burn other people pocket money and adding some unnecessary stuff to my bike..thnx for advice..tzm riders rules..

No prob bro .. The towkay there very nice so try to nego with him the price with paintwork..

 

And for the pick up speed , there are so many factors you need to look at such sprocket size , carb tuning , Clutch plate and etc.. Get a mech to rectify , try to contact the guy name kerplunkz here and he can bring u in JB mech.. Cheaper.. Most of the Tzmers go there..

 

Shell 2T is actually not that recommended.. Try using Motul 510 Or if you have extra funds can go for Motul 710 (full - synthetic) .. And also decarbonise your pipe @ JB to clear the carbon build up..

check your front wheel bearing,black stuff(processed mixture of 2t and petrol) might be from your valve, check your oil seal as well,might be engine oil.
