Hey there Fellow riders. Recently I've been in trouble by the law. I'll put it this way. I was SABOTAGE by unknown people. Such as the unknown person hide packets of MALBORO cigarettes(Indonesian packets) inside my ferring. And to be honest!i don't know anything and i Ain't a smoker also! And some how or another. Custom officers came into the picture. I was fine $2500 without any talk. I've been told to pay within 2 week if not i'll end up going courts n etc etc. And to be honest with you guys.i aint from a rich family.My parents will go mad if they know this and they are old and sick people also.We are struggling really. I just don't want them to know.We don't have much cash with us either. i just got discharged from my work place and currently looking for a job also for the time being. I'm here just seeking a big big favor to see if there's any kind soul there willing to help me big time. I've only got $500 with me for now.. and i need the balance. I'll somehow make a repayment back to any soul that is willing to help me out after everything is settle.. Please help me! text me in my mailbox if there's any help. thank you.

Think of who could be behind the sabotage, and where did you park your bike. The saboteur could be the bugger who called the cops.

 

Give the IO a very accurate statement, and try to demand that the packets are fingerprinted (if possible).

 

I would advise to let the matter get to court and press the IO to probe into the guy who tipped them off. Paying $2500 for a crime you did not commit is not fair. If it can happen once, it can happen again and the sadist who did it will be laughing his / her ass off.

 

EDIT >> Don't forget that by paying a fine, you PLEAD GUILTY and you will have a criminal record or an addition to existing records!

 

FYI I advised a friend who had prior encounters with law enforcement and the Prisons, not to ever bring any Malaysian cigarettes back to SG. Someone heard it, felt that I was a "by-the-book" person and tried to pull of a nasty prank by placing a duty-unpaid cigarette packet taped inside the head fairing.

 

Sadists and saboteurs exist even as you may not know them directly or offend them. Let the law enforcement investigate. The courts are there for a purpose - to make an informed judgment based on evidence and accounts presented.

i love the 'ain't' part of ur sentances... sounds 'hip' if u know what i mean. off topic... sorry...

 

but a piece of advice for u... i dun think u would get much help here... looking for a loan in SBF wouldn't work... 2 reasons... 1)economy 2)ppl dun even noe u....

 

so i think you would get better help from...

a)ur family

b)ur MP

 

frankly... the point of u saying that u are a none smoker is off no relavance to ur case... u can be a non-smoker but u could be selling them for a profit in SG... so i think if u were to use this as a arguement for ur appeal... it wouldn't work...

 

secondly... they would point out that... it is ur responsibility to check ur vehicle... so i think a sabotage wouldn't work too... UNLESS u can get them to check for finger prints... however if they do find ur finger prints... then good luck to u... other charges will be filed agaisnt u... and any cost of test would be paid by u...

 

so u need to think abt ur course of actions very very very carefully...

if u 101% non-smoker, tio sabo. i think they will look into ur 'case' attentively.

i belief theres still some "people" in Singapore working for the gov, understand ur sincerity.

coz i got off for something i didnt know.. that sum1 said to me "i can see that ur very honest abt etc.., i willing to help u off.."

Both Nick and Schwein gave good standard naswer WRT to yr queries. However i like to set this clear that SBF is not a portal in seeking any form of monetary and material loans. You may like to go through the proper channels in proceeding with your case.

Yes unlucky indeed. Well for fellow riders here.. lets me make this sweet n simple for those who are against my post(cos i have receive unknown and bad comments abt this case) 1st of all.. go check the date and etc of me selling my RVF!!! 2nd-ly go check the damn date again for my the r6 that im looking for ok?? its not relevant for those ppl who are posting comment such as telling me oh sell rvf still can look for r6 n bla bla..Go see the damn date and hthis date b4 talking stuff..oh maybe on 2nd tot are you guys guilty abt my summon issue? are you guys involve in this?? well don't worry dude..i've made a MP report and police report abt this case..not forgetting i've gotten all those involve.. who wrote useless words here abt this coments..its nothing to do with the Legality & Regulations Related corner speakers.. its other groups.. so yea.. all those in the Legality & Regulations Related group which i posted this post.. thanks for the ADVICE

someone must have saboed you and then tell ur bike plate number to the customs. customs officers only act when there is a tip off. alot of times i come back from jb the officers dont even bother to check my bag or even if they check, they just take a look inside.

I am not for you, nor against you. Forum is free, good info comes burried in junk. I'm just tired of people coming in, asking for help/advise, and make a big fuss/threaten/argue with others when they don't reply to the post in the "correct" way. Peace out.

U shld hav explain in details how the goodies ended up in ya fairing .. Like whether it happened in sg or wen enterin sg borders .. tat wld be easier .. whu noes some detective mite crack the case for u ..

A lot of gaps and holes in your story. Not that I don't wanna believe you but perhaps there are some things you failed to disclose? Like, where were you stopped, which part of the fairing it was found, if you were travelling in a group or alone. Such pertinent facts should be aired if you're about to solicit for help.

 

Also, seek help from your MP if you're not guilty. Otherwise, get help from family members and close friends. Strangers are less likely to be generous to someone they don't know.
