Good evening guys. Today i met with a accident. I parked my bike at Kent ridge wing NUH basement car park. When i return to my bike after work, i found it a few meters away from my actual parked location. When i parked in the morning, it was in main stand. When i found it was in side stand. Left side of the bike heavily damaged. Mirrors broken. 2T spilled on to the floor. It seemed some one hit/pushed my bike on the left. After that carried it back up and put in side stand. Best part is that all of this happened in front of the cctv. I told the security about it and he told me to make a police report.

The police have made the type of accident hit and run.

 

 

I now have the statement with me. I have to fax my insurance to TP within 24hrs. So the qns i want to know now is:

 

1. Can i go and do the repairs on my own expenses or wait?

 

2. Insurance policy is from NTUC. Next time i renew insurance will it be high? As this is not my fault. This is my first claim in 3 years of riding.

the best is. get the culprit, claim from him/her better. if u go tru insurance, gonna wait abit long than u expect.

If can get the vehicle plate no from the CCTV then go claim against him.Try not to pay up 1st as NTUC wont bother to trace and claim for u.In the end u will have higher premium next year.

Ok so it is a bad idea to make a report because now i have to claim thru insurance. I was not able to get the culprit because the stupid security guard said that the CCTV on the police can see. i think it's pure bullshit. So not willing to fork out my own money and keep quiet i made the police report.

 

 

 

So what i have to do now is to wait? For and from?

Also want to ask. What will happen if i go and do the repairs myself. I need my bike for daily transportation. Will be very difficult to do with out it and also the current state it is in now...

It happens to me before ... Wen im bout to approach my bike , to my freakin dismay i saw my bike lying on the ground .. but it was still lyin unlike yours .. Hav the courteousy to lift the bike up .. i juz paid 230 for repairs .. u shld hav dust ya bike handlebars for the fingerprints .. damm .. i watch to much CSI ..

it happened when i overseas. a fellow biker neighbour told me someone knock my bike down. he dint see who, but he helped me put my bike back up.

 

confirm is car doing u-turn then bang into my bike at the bike lot...

What type of insurance you have for your bike?

 

If you are not cover under comprehensive (1st party) insurance you are unable to claim your insurance.

 

Since you said that you do not know who hit you and ran away, who are you claiming the insurance from?

 

It is just a case of back luck where you have to repair the bike yourself; unless the police can get that culprit.

 

You will received a statement when the police has completed their investigation.
