Pulai Waterfall, Kukup, Pontian & BP Wet World (7/10/06)

1 DAY EXPLORATION TRIP 7TH OCTOBER SATURDAY - PULAI WATERFALL & KUKUP & PONTIAN TRIP & BATU PAHAT

 

Meeting at GP Esso at 8am. Target to return to Spore before 8pm.

1. Pulai Waterfall-->

2. Kukup -->

Travel along western coastal roads up to Batu Pahat. Then return by NS Highway to Singapore.

3. Pontian Kechil -->

4. Pontian --->

5. Batu Pahat Wet World -->

 

 

We'll have breakfast in Pulai town somewhere first, before going to the waterfall. If we have time, we'll also visit the Batu Pahat hotspring (but chances very slim coz programs are packed). I think the star attractions are the Pulai Waterfall & the Batu Pahat Wet World. Must spend more time there.

 

We'll begin our return journey at bout 5pm back to Spore. Based on popular demand , we either go to that scenic Permas Jaya Makan place for nasi lemak dinner or SBF 's star favourite Taman U A&W or the West Side thread's fav Yoon Lai Tim Sum in Kulai.

 

Travel speed on Western coastal roads towards the north should be 80-100km/hr. But the return journey from Batu Pahat to Spore by NSHighway is at least 140 km/hr.

Rain contingency plan:

If it rains here in spore, we'll delay for an hour to see how it goes. But if rain becomes drizzle, I would still continue journey, coz it might not rain in Pulai waterfall area. If it still drizzle in NS highway towards Pulai, we'll reverse the travel plan - go first to Batu Pahat Wet World & probably the Batu Pahat Hot Spring by NShighway. Pulai Waterfall will become last. I am pretty sure it'll be dry weather further up; it can't be raining in the entire johor state.

 

Those who wants to drop out at last minute due to drizzling is OK, cause roads are still slippery. But need to sms me , so we wouldn't have to wait.

Bro u might need to reconsider going to gunung pulai.

Last mth me n my frens explore that place.

Such a dissapointment. At the entrance there's this signboard saying the area is close.But u still can go in.

Very deserted dirty..drug addicts at the abandoned shelter.

It's not like what u see in the web.And the worst thing is that..i we don't see any waterfalls.Just a dirty stream of water.

eh...hw they gt to tat h2ofall? We ride up further on da twisty uphill rd to find nothing...or is it we have to walk/trek up further from da stream?

have to cross the stream and walk up abit.... than u can see the big fall... go see the bolder thread
