Hey guy or gurls...

 

Its been a hell of a week for me coz my bike RXZ keep having its Piston Seize again n again even though ive been sending it to the shop for servicing.

 

Care to share some light on this subject???

 

anyway its a 2nd hand bike which i bought it in June06 n its plate FQ

 

Thanks for any help offered...

Huh?! Wat U mean Ur piston seize again n again? N send U've been sendin it 2 shop 4 service? :giddy:

Wen Ur piston seized means U gotta overhaul Ur engine coz Ur block shud b scratched... Did e shop do dat?

Den wen Ur piston seized while riding U didnt fall, skid or anitink? :confused:

The previous owner told me dat he send de bike for engine overhaul 2 weeks before i took over de bike. Then a week later wen i was riding it along BKE de engine died and it skidded for a while b4 i managed to clutch in.

The bike was towed to the same shop and i explain to him of wat happen dey says dat it was my fault accusing me of riding de bike of an excess of 120km/h but in fact i was only riding it only like 80km/h wen it seize.

They charge me like S$200 for de saying that the piston block jammed and needed to b replaced.

After it was replaced it felt different riding de bike coz de whole bike would like vibrate quite strongly wen de bike reaches 90km/h.

So i send it to another shop to have it check and they changed a lot more stuff in de engine which too many to mention and askin me dat wen de previous shop did de overhaul y didnt all dis things were changed???

So to cut long story short after servcing again a week after dat again de bike seized at ECP wen it reaches 80km/h.

 

Im so at lost wat to do now...

Aiyo... Wat I tink is dat Ur bike dat hav been recently overhauled need 2 b run in 2 season e new parts inside... Cannot whack e bike 4 at least 1000km... So I tink coz Ur bike juz overhaul 2 weeks ago n U rode it fast, so e piston jammed... Same goes 4 e 2nd time U went 'service' e bike at e other shop...

Lucky nothing happened 2 U... Means U spent alot oredi huh on e bike? But den its stil givin U problems... All I can advise U is go do a proper overhaul at a proper shop. Also means U gotta fork out some more cash ah... :nono:

 

I recommend U dis shop, I bot my bike from there n service my bike there no problems...

 

G.A. Motor, Blk 32 Sin Ming Dr...

On e left side, e only bike shop there...

Look 4 Ah Heng he can solve Ur problems... :goodluck:

its not dat i i want to give up but im like kinda phobia of wat had happened.

If i didnt like de bike i wouldnt have it in de 1st place.

 

For example like today i was riding it from werk n fro juz didnt feel de bike was properly fuctioning even though i had it service. Was so afraid of pushing de throttle n was like riding it on de roads 50km/h only n my hands were always on de clutch standing by afraid dat de piston would seize again

 

Fyi according to de w/shop he said dat my piston seize due to a faulty 2T pump.

 

Can i have de bike checked again wif the shop that u recommended??? Feel very insecure ah...

most if not all, many pple bought 2nd hand rxz n experience piston seizure is all becos of the 2t pump. mayb the ex owner uses premix so they dun use the 2t pump. its better to check ur 2t pump either the seal or maybe whole set pump spoil or deactivated. haha.

 

2nd u said u experience piston seizure again n again..... like i say if ur 2t pump is not werking, no matter how many times u change piston n rebore ur block, it will seize or jam again. another factor, if u changed ur piston n rebore ur block, ask the mech to see whether the conrod is loose or not. cos conrod loose or balancing not done properly will also cos ur piston to jam and scratch ur block again.

Yes! By all means pls go e shop n let e mech cek Ur bike.... If its reali e 2t pump dats spoilt den get it change... Solve Ur problems, U wont hav 2 wori so much while riding... :thumb:

Hi, ride casually for the first 3000 clicks. Don't whack the bike above 8rpm and you should be ok. You can meet a few of the RXZ riders here to bring you to service yourr bike in JB. Most shops there are very skilled in doing RXZ and costs will be cheaper. RXZ is a powerful transportation bike, so don't give up on it. :D

thx bro for de advice coz like ive been asking around abt running in and no one can explain to me clearly.

anybody knows good TRUSTWORTHY place in singapore to go 4 service or if rxz bike got problems...malaysian workshops always will try to trick you and make you change parts not needed..

RXZ is a great bike with minimal & very cheap maintenance. Only need to jaga engine oil & 2T. Freaking cheap & powerful bike:)

Yea & the best is spare parts very very easy to get. Almost all bike shops in SG & Malaysia have their spare parts. New & 2nd hand. Ups for RXZ
