Anyone seen the new ducati street fighter.. That really touched my heart man.. I really really wish to see one on the road.. But in reality "IF" I can afford it.. My height don't even allow me..

Even on my s4, i'm already tip toeing.. btw i'm 162 and i love the sound of a ducati.

I don't think the height is a problem. I'm 165 and a duke is really quite comfortable to ride, not as tall as you think. Go for it!

That is what happens when you ride (or used to ride) a Ducati .. I'm almost fully recovered

Yes brother .. I parted with the Monster 1 year ago and got involved with the Greenie. The Greenie looks deadly (except for the ugly piece of grey thing on the handlebar that sucks $$$ from me everytime I pass through those ugly-looking gantires). Luckily I'm still alive riding it. Riding these bikes makes you turn into a hooligan. VERY difficult to ride them gently, they'll choke!

I still miss the rumble and roar of the Monster (with Termi exhausts of course! No Ducati is complete w/o an exhausts makeover!) If you are going to get a Monster, get the bigger CC ones. The 400cc just don't have enough power to feel shiok

nothing sounds like a monster with termis w/o baffles, regardless 400cc or S4RS.

the rumble is unmistakable.

Ask them back: "What's wrong with your hearing?"

But don't you just love it when you enter the carpark and little children start running after you with their allowance money..... ?

ya...easy to mix up :-) but all look good still. its those signature headlights and the muscular body lines...woooohooo!

back to the monster...it looks like a big bike to me but why do SO MANY people who review it say its a good beginner's bike? hmmm...

Why?????

Probably a design change due to safety regs.

Too many children were dying in road accidents after inexplicably and blindly running out onto the roads, right after those L-Twin Ducs.

Experts speculate that they may have been craving for ice-cream, but even the top CSI agents still cannot find a link between ice-cream and the L-Twin duckies.

Because it is "only" 400cc. The seat is low, the bike is light, and the handling is good. But it's blardy torquey IMO. Not a good bike for pillions.

It's ok lah. I've tried one out.

How torquey can a 400cc V2 be, after all. We've all seen pillions who're comfy on 600s, 1000s, and hypersports like Hayabusas and ZX14s. :D

hp & torque is all relative.

just like salary.

$96k per annum may be alot to one guy but crumbs to another.

how to compare?

endless.

be happy with what u have.

if possible
