Hi guys, hope someone can give me feedback regarding my current situation

6 months ago, I bought a 2nd hand bike from new union company. Trying to save money, but the bike was faulty and gave me many problems, so decided to get a brand new bike last month.

I bought my new bike from mah pte ltd and traded in the old bike. However, mah pte ltd discovered that the old bike has no chassis number, so it will be unable to pass vehicle inspection, hence only recourse is to scrap it.

I called up new union company who insisted that

a) the bike must have a chassis number, but mah pte ltd don't know where it is

b) that during vehicle inspection chassis number will not be checked

Now I don't know which side to believe, and what I should do if the bike really don't have the required chassis number. Mah pte ltd was going to offer $300 trade in price, which i offered to new union (they rejected). If new union is really in the wrong, what can I do?

Thanks for any advice

Nobody checked my chassis number during my inspections but if it cannot be seen on the bike, there may be problems regarding insurance if anything happens in the future. So Mah will give a lot of problems about this.

The owner manual should say where the chassis number is. You can go check yourself and make sure.

Just my 2 cents worth...

Everybody falls. It is how fast you can get back up that makes the difference

Just bring union to court under Unfair Contract Terms Act Sec 22(1)... Let them prove them selfs that the bike had a chasis number... Save you all the trouble... Mah is at no wrong as you sold the bike to them. You also have to check out the contracts you agreed to at both sides...

need for speeeed :smooch:
