Qns: hehe dats what im best at, asking qns...

 

k back to qns, what spares that are recommended to be brought along for touring for fz1? selain tyre repair kit dat is... maklom lah baru jinak2 dgn fazer.. :cheeky:

 

nothing out of the ordinary unless ko nak bwk spare batt :angel:

usual stuff

complete tool kit

cable ties

duct tape

tire kit (w/ cannisters..at least two, the more the merrier)

1st aid kit

torchlight

1 set of fuses

spare key

 

If u got space

air pump

towing rope

1 or more spark plugs

1 H4 bulb

1 signal bulb

clutch cable (tapi nak tukar is not easy)

set of levers

 

do ur pre-ride check twice, a few days before and just before u leave. tighten any loose screws n bolts (kalo bole loctite)

check ur drive train - chain tension, condition etc..

check ur tires - pressure, condition, bearings etc..

check ur fluids - brake, radiator, engine

check ur brakes pads, calipers and rotors

check ur electricals

check ur cables

and last but never least..check urself..:angel:

 

short trip mebbe can skip a few but if ur heading sawadee recomend u check everything..twice..:thumb:

nothing out of the ordinary unless ko nak bwk spare batt :angel:

usual stuff

kalau kau taknak bawak ni semua benda pon boleh.... bawak je duit lebih lebih..hehehe

 

 

on a side note, duct tape and cable ties... small but sure is very handy..

 

u need roughly 3 cannister of CO2 for a 180 or 190 size tyres to make it rideable to the next petrol station.

 

If riding in a group, bring foot pump if can.. passing kat members kalau tak boleh bawak sendiri, kalau semua tak nak tolong bawak kan, lan-lan bawak je sendiri... TAPI!!! kalau dorang pancit, jgn kasi pinjam sampai dorang nangis-nangis meronta-ronta mintak pinjam.. Kalau CO2 habis, at least ada back up and boleh jugak ramai-ramai tolong pump kan sampai pump senget-senget..

 

tow rope pon bagus, make sure kuatnya supaya tak putus time tow... panjang so senang nak manuveure motor esp time corner and braking.. Imagine kalau tali pendek, org depan brake, org blakang khayal.. dari tow 1 motor terus jadi towing train....

....cuma nak tambah satu lagi aje ~ kalau bole, simpan nombor2 telepon yang penting seperti kedai2 motor di merata malaysia dan juga thailand. ni semua pengajaran dari trip2 yg lalu......ada members yang lupe tukar tayar bila nak pegi thailand. nasib la ada kedai motor yang agak popular dan yang ada spare part utk motor besau di hatyai :thumb:

tak jugak bro..

 

certain things tak yah bawak sendiri.. can share among your group yang going for the ride..

 

Things like :

- Tow rope

- manual air pump

- duct tape, electrical tape and cable ties

- etc stuffs which is compatible with each other..

- bulbs

- clutch cables, brake n clutch levers (kalau ader motor yang sama going together lagi bagus)

- some people i know even bring an extra battery.. (macam mana dorang bawak aku tak tahu ah)

 

meaning apa yang boleh share, tak yah semua bawak.. share the load together..

 

bagi aku the thing that each have to bring own their own is

 

- CO2 cannisters (benda ni mahal, kalau nak pakai orgnya macam segan..anyway kalau pakai pon kena ganti balik.. ada baiknya beli sendiri, kalau ganti pon, ganti sendirinya)

- tyre puncture kit

- fuses

safe to say fz1 tak se payah AT nk kene bwk EO lah fuel pump lah etc...
