just bought a gilera st200 from a shop in ubi... was quoted a price of $8560 including insurance coe everything.. but when asked for deposit, seller just say any amount. mum was around so she quoted 300 and we paid 300. came back and realised that the receipt had not much details except the fact that we paid 300 bucks as deposit. am feeling a little bit weird, and am afraid that when i collect the bike, more costs will spring up from nowhere.

any opinions?

Most probably. Assuming the $300 will be your eventual downpayment, then your interests will be of the balance. What they usually quote is machine, road tax, IU, registration and insurance. If you can't cash out, try dump as much downpayment as your ability allows. You may afford the instalment, but if you really sit down and calculate the 'extra' interests you had paid, it really will add to a lot of tanks of fuel.

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

If it includes insurance, it's hard to determine. What's important is you're happy with it. Give u $1 bike, u don't like also like that.
