I have installed Cateye before too. For night light, I install a small LED bulb link to keyswitch. LED only light up only when bike is turned on.

as for speed sensing, I have no issue at all... I didn't anything special to prevent vibration... Just mount the magnet and the sensor as close as possible. For my case, I didn't use the orignal magnet. I used the magnet found in Computer Hard Drives. Very thin, very strong. I broke a small portion paste it onto my brake disk using Locktight super glue (must clean the surface of the disk properly).

Until today it is still there and my Trail tech speedo meter is using it :cheer:

i tried using an unused meter light holder and put in a t5 led, but it doesnt work. tried normal 5mm led and wired it up with the keyswitch, the led blowed up. haha.

i dont know what else can i use.

LEDs need resistor to limit the current... LED has no resistance. You must connect them in series... My 3 blue LED is still working today, but I no longer need them as Trailtech comes with White backlight... :cheeky:

i have fixed more than 10 trailtech vapors..

simple to follow instructions just like building legos or tamiya model kits..

just need some simple tools and maybe some screws to mount the speedo sensor that's all..

if you technical inclined, it shouldnt be a problem..
