Ok bro i'll try it out tonite and will get back to you regards of this metter. Btw how much do it cos for your repair?

I did quite afew more things besides repairing that coolant problem, like changing my engine oil, spug pluck, replacing a new coolant pipe and i fixed a manual switch to my auto fan (so that i can switch ON the fan as and when i want and not afraid of engine overheated). I did these not in Tai Hin or Sunrise, its just at a normal bike service shop in Yishun Indus park which cost me about $300+. I guess because that bike shop is not really specialise in repairing runners, so it turn out to be abit ex. I suggest u can check it out at Tai Hin, they might be able to repair for u at a lower cost i guess.

How abt mine. My coolant is at the guild line, but it keep on drip out from the top cover. Isit my coolant cap wear off. Can you guys help me? and how much do it cos to flush out and insert new coolant?

I keep my coolant reservoir level at just above the min link to prevent this issue..

When u open ur coolant cap after ur ride, does ur coolant tends to splash out and gives out something like a gas sound? If it does means ur engine is overheated and ur coolant pipe might be broken at some part. Cos that was what happen to mine when i took my vxr200 at first.

Isnt that normal when the engine is running and the coolant is circulated around to cool down your engine thus that's why why cars/class 2 radiator cap has a warning sign to warn u about opening the radiator cap immediately after stopping the vehicle..

If it's indeed a broken coolant pipe, the coolant will be leaking already isnt it? On my old class 2, i've a small internal hole on the tubes, it wont leak when it's cold but until the coolant is heated up cos heat creates pressure and force the coolant out of the small hole.

Ya i understand about the coolant is circulated around to cool down the engine thus that's why about the pressure part. But it shouldn't be giving out any sound when open or coolant splash out once cap is off. So i got mine fixed at the workshop and after that it didn't happen again. And ya, the cap can't be open at once after a ride, need to wait for coolant to cool down 1st.

i think there is a seal or gasket or something like that on the inside of the cap itself.. maybe the seal or gasket is broken or something thus the leakage.. i think ive heard other people having the same prob happen to them before..

Why so serious?

Yeah....its the coolant cap problem. It worn off. But what a service from ASpoon. They took other 2nd Hand Gilera coolant cap to replace mine..hopefully the buyer will get the new one la..Than before i took out my Gilera they said that the engine oil and belting all had been change, but its not true. I just went to check with my mechanic and the engine oil are so black. Haiz hope this will be a lesson for all of us. We just can’t trust them…Its better to follow your heart.

Good thing bro u fixed ur problem, lucky its just an small issue. Now my coolant prob getting bigger. i check on my coolant level just now and found out there isn't any coolant left inside! not even abit.. but 2 or 3 days back its like still at the maximum guideline. Strange thing is that i can't find any leakage on any part of my bike. guess have to visit bike shop again.. any idea is sunrise good at handling such prob??

Check if it's leaking into your engine oil compartment..If yes, probably a faulty gasket...

Hmm..I guess you better do so before it get worst. As for me i will stick on my mechanic. Its Ah Kiong @ Braddle Caltex. His service tip top. He do full service like other shop which cost like $220. Its about the same right. Why do i trust him is because when you service you bike, he will oil all your levers, pump your tyer, lube your chain(if Chain), and than will continue the necessary staff. All this service you do not need to ask him to do. Than his neat in works and steady bro. he knows what to be done. But the only thing is that he never modify bike la..His fix good bikes for daily used..I didn’t believe my friends that recommended me. but till today from R-xz,spark 135, S4 & Gilera I’m still happy with his handworks and services.

Bros, about the coolant splashing, its normal until theres just enough amount of coolant in your tank. Its not normal that your coolant is 'used up' that quick. I didnt have to top up mine for almost a year UNTIL there was a leakage near the engine block area.

About shops claiming the bikes were 'just serviced' or mentioning 'new' belts engine oil etc2 are mostly crap. Best advice is to bring someone who has good knowledge about the particular choice of bike.

Hmmmm...Ok den...I understand that the rubber o-ring seal inside the cap can be purchase separately...Guess i will do just that by going to the agent...

Gilera got so many problems that i think its a different one every single time hahah. I normally check the fuses, the carb manifold(whether its tightly connected and not broken, spark plug condition and so on..
