exclusive reports in the sun claims that fergie is set to dump berba out of united and plan a £60m spree. don't know how true it is.

Dude, it's from The Sun. I don't think they are taken very seriously in the UK also. Best to take the news with a pinch of salt.

dunno, some how i knew he won't fit in, sure his touches are good, but he wasnt consistent at all, his workrate was poor. when i heard that hes coming for 30+ mil i was like nooo sheet hes gonna be a big exp flop.

And, i was right.

Hell yeah you are right. If I was Ferguson, I'll surely be quite frustrated with him already. He was bought in the 'proven striker' mold, so he was expected to deliver. He doesn't need 2 whole seasons to get used to the BPL, especially since he was already playing in the BPL before that. I say, sell him! My support for him has really gone down now. Get a proper No. 9 out and out striker.

Yes. I was always a supporter to Tevez. But when he got sold to Man City and did all that stupid talk nonsense, I was quite put off. You can't deny the workrate he gives though. And he's definitely performing in City now. Imagine him working with Rooney, they'll run circles around the defence. A pity I don't (and Ferguson too) doesn't value him at 30 mil also.

Real Madrid set to offer £90m for Man Utd’s Rooney

Recent reports suggest that Spanish giants Real Madrid are set to offer Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney £90million.

The Sun suggests that United will be offered the sum plus they will pay Rooney £250,000 a week for five years.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is thought to be keen to reunite Rooney with former striker partner Cristiano Ronaldo and although the 24-year old England international’s Old Trafford contract is until 2012, it will not bother the Madrid chief.

It is also believed that the Spanish club are keen to go after England boss Fabio Capello.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that!"

i don't think rooney would go. unlike ronaldo who made his desire to play for real madrid, rooney has not made any desire of leaving man utd.

Man Utd eager to tie up Real Madrid target Rooney to £150,000-a-week deal

Manchester United are ready to smash their wage structure to keep Wayne Rooney out of Real Madrid's clutches.

The News of the World says United are convinced Rooney will sign a bumper new £150,000-a-week contract before he jets off to the World Cup.

United's England striker has two years left on his deal and Spanish giants Real Madrid are reported to be preparing an incredible £90MILLION bid for him.

United chief executive David Gill hopes to rush through a five-year deal, complete with lucrative image rights bonuses, to keep Rooney out of Real's clutches.

United officials, desperate to give their supporters some good news, are keen to announce the deal before the summer's big tournament begins.

BAYERN MUNICH are ready to offer Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov an escape route out of Old Trafford.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is planning to sell his £30million Bulgarian flop this summer and the German giants - who knocked United out of the Champions League - are monitoring the situation.

Despite interest from other Premier League clubs, Berbatov does not want to play for another English side. Instead, the former Spurs striker is eyeing up a return to Germany this summer.

He spent five years at Bayer Leverkusen before signing with Spurs.

Fergie will have six strikers when Javier Hernandez arrives from Chivas and although

United spent £30m when they signed Berbatov from Tottenham in 2008, they will receive a fraction of that if they decide to cash in.

He has just two years left on his Old Trafford contract and, tellingly, United have made no attempt to begin talks over an extension.

Most players are given an indication by chief executive David Gill two years before the end of their contract that talks will soon begin.

Instead Berbatov is sweating on his future and is fears he will be the fall-guy if United fail to land the Premier League.

Berbatov started on the bench against Manchester City yesterday, replacing Wayne Rooney in the 75th minute.

His 12 goals this season rank the Bulgarian 11th on the Premier League scorers' list.
