signal lights...

both rear no lights so i assume it cant be bulbs, wire loose...

so i checked all fuses, all ok...

then i took out the rear fairing to see the wiring, all ok.

then i double checked 1 live wire, loose.. put back 1 light on!

the other i took out the cover, see x2 the bulb, took out put back, both on!!

wtf?.... thought will be something more difficult but who knows its just that

easy... so guys, next time dont think too deep!! lol....

haha..renew it online and u're ready to roar..besides..if u nv renew...it'll incur additional charges

at night all wanna look for bike ma... so they sms while viewing lo... but worst thing is they usually ask stupid questions and end up never view or whatsoever...

hugen y u never ask when we meet up? anyway depends on what engine oil u use. if semi usually bout 3k-5k. if fully can go further till 8k. but fully is more dilute i feel so once in a while u need to check if the engine oil amount still suffice. if u rich, change every 3 months, no need worry to top up on engine oil. if 3 months change 1 time also no need use fully la. waste money.

 

@ ben, u just overhaul le. Clifford should've change the EO for u at 1 go. cannot be take out engine all n everything then reuse back the EO?

Hi Guys,

 

Im new to this forum and im in need of some answers, if possible.

 

I have a very nice GK76A Gsxr400 which i recently connected with a car :(, all is good just some cosmetics damaged.

However i have had the bike standing for +- 3 months. I have started it every 2 weeks or so and left it running for 30-45 min, making sure it doesnt overheat, which it hasent ever.

 

Suddenly the bike has started acting up, the idling sounds like it is running on 2/3 cylinders (No power when i try pull off), the battery is dying.

I have read excessively on forums about the dreaded "Carb" issues and the fact that the Gsxr400's elec wiring isnt top notch.

 

I have changed the CDi, coils, fuse box, plugs and checked for spark. It all seesm good. The bike was running a bit rich but never interfered with the overall running. The CDI and coils were second hand as i cannot for the life of me find anything new in South Africa (Gauteng, Johannesburg) for this bike :(

 

The issues only seemed to happen once i had removed the CDI unit as i was worried that keeping it connected to the bike while standing might fault the CDI.

 

What steps should i take to try and fix this asap.

 

I bought a high quality Carb cleaner which i have not used but after charging the battery i will try that. Any other ideas?

I dont know anyone else with my bike, so hot swapping CDI's is not an option. How can i test the CDI and Coils for issues?

 

Unfortunately Gsxr400's are Grey imports here, so parts are not stocked. Only spares are available are what is salvaged from imported Gsxr400's. What a shame as its such an awesome pocket rocket.

1k need to go back change EO as now using semi, should be quite dirty for 1st change... going anytime this week! after change, HO SAY LIAO!!
