I just serviced my bike, Changed engine oil, coolant and sparkplug.

when i took over this bike, it was normal yellow light bulb. i went to bike shop to change to a white bright light bulb which look more nicer. Then i started to have problems. It seems like it's not charging fast enough. Then i took my friend's super4 revo's bulb, it was similar to the normal yellow light bulb. but i'm still having the similar problem. If it's the CDI problem, my pocket's gonna burn. =/

what bulb did u change to?...55watt one or 100watt?...and if its not those trustable brand...although it might write 55watt..but it could actually be drawing more current than u thought..and if a bike battery is being drained once..the battery lifespan will be shorten...thats y when bikeshop changes battery for u..they usually check if its charging properly as well..otherwise if its not charging..u'll damage the battery and once its flat...once that happens...u gotta replace the battery as well as the faulty part that is preventing it from charging

Okay thanks! Planet and Guan hoe.

Every morning i can start my bike, sometimes when i ride halfway. i happen to stall my engine. And couldn't start my bike again. i tried pulling my choke and start also can't.

The sound of the bike sounded like the battery is dying. After i wait for awhile like 10 - 15mins. i start again then can. If not i must Jump start the bike. i happen to do this for the past 2 months. Is jump start bad for the bike?

 

I'm guessing your air/fuel ratio is incorrect.

 

What is the average mileage you get on a full tank? Also, when your plugs were changed, did you take not of their color?

base on the plugs, what do you think? my carbs just serviced ard 3mths ago.

i think i'm running too rich, 4-5k rpm sound watery, is that what you mean by air/fuel ratio?

& my FC is higher recently. i dont want to waste my $ as i asked few shops, they only said

"put your bike here, i service your carbs then see how"

if i ever go to that shop's branch again, then i'm really a super carrot.

 

a PLUG for 15bucks ? x4 = $60 ..... which shop sio

They're look dark and wet to me; not a good sign.

 

You're running rich, that could explain your poor fuel consumption. It's got nothing to do with servicing your carburetors, were your jets changed before? If so, you may need one size smaller main jets.

bro, i just change the floats + service for $600+... main jets in carbs? but i should have changed to oem. will tunning the carb help? it just happen recently. when i first got bk my bike, it had a better mileage... out of 4 plugs, 3 were like that, 1 was fine.

& this, actually last week i was going to bikeshop becos of this problem but 1/2way @ highway, its back to normal. everything totally back to normal. few days back, it came back. really giving me a headache...

the boss had pm me, saying its the correct price i paid, + installation.

 

A few dollars more can get iridium Liao. I would suggest leave it to guan Hoe and let the boss do a proper troubleshoot then hunting around other shops. One thing I learn is other than normal servicing, it's better to go to gh for repairs.

i was thinking that since something was wrong with my bike, i decided to take normal plugs 1st till my problem is fixed. otherwise it will be a waste if i gota change plugs again. changing plugs is just a temp solution for me.

Tuning wouldn't help if your jets are wrong to start with.

 

Would be helpful if you can check if all the jets in your carburetors are the same? It would seem strange that only 3 of the 4 cylinders turn out like that. Something is definitely different in that 3 cylinders that isn't in the 4th cylinder.

now normal riding is abit watery only @ 4-6k rpm. all of a sudden like after i change eo, the bike can totally sound like fug. unresponsive @ all. haha, i'm goona breakdown. it can still go till 120kmp but i think i need to throttle more to hit 120. ideling (dont know how to spell)also unstable.

What is the weight of the engine oil used? Didn't you just rebuild your engine?

that's why. erm, ok. 4k-6k rpm, sound "lao hong", like lost power. & if i'm not wrong, even when i'm otr holding my throttle, can hear coughing as in petrol going not smooth. weight of eo? is it this, 10wXX, i forgot the last 2numbers... should can confirm its running rich as i can smell serious petrol smell from exhaust. only thing now is how to troubleshoot the problem. a friend of me told me maybe its the intake tube... 1 mech said float overflow. i guess the only way is to take out the carbs again. maybe this sat go bikeshop.. When you service your carbs, did they change any of the gaskets or rubber?

It's better to replace all of them since the bike is very old now.

bro yoshi, did you go to the recent sbf event? saw a CF fairing bike there @ racewerk. what bike was that? 500cc bike? 2 exhaust @ the side. seems to me like the bike model you riding.
