hi want to ask if its normal for a g4 to have a metal sound coming from the engine. it sounds like ball bearings in a can being shaken to the tune of the engine RPM.
better go have it check. it might be serious. i got my piston jam with 1 valve flying off.

hehe hi ben ! any place to recommand for service ??? i went unique motorsport they say this bike parts very hard to find, so its better not to open up and service, in case got thing need to replace and cant find the parts

ya, its rather true. but your so-called open up is open what? like adnoh say, go guanhoe. they confirm have parts for you but do go in the morning of weekdays to prevent from leaving your bike overnight. you go other shop, they dont have parts, they also take from suzuki then mark up the price... guanhoe will be a good choice.

after that, i think you can just find a shop you trust & do normal servicing, tunning.

finally free to test my bike but it died halfway on the road... it seems like its unable to hold its RPM without needing me to rev it. when i tried to restart unburnt carbon smell came out. when its turn on. the bike will die easily if i dun rev it. i tune the carb setting but nothing seems to work.. haiz. lots of problems since i bought this gixxer.

Used to ride: TA200 -02, WR 200DT -94, VXR 200 -04, CB400 Spec 2 -02, GSXR400RN -92, CB 400 Spec 3 -04, VLX 400 -94, DRZ400SM -06, FZ6 S2 -09

Current bikes : YZF R1 -08

i called up guan hoe, they say they do not repair conrod and piston of the bikes.. WHEre can i get it fix>??!?!?!?!

who tune your carbs? you gota know if your carb's parts are damaged, wear off, its no use tunning. if you intend to ride for 1-2years with no worries, send it to someone who can tell you what's damaged in your carbs. change them, may cost till around $600. mine was like that. mine, unburnt carbon, petrol smell damn serious. just changed 4pins cos its wear off all round, makes petrol flowing uneven. you will be lucky if that shop keeps some 2nd hand small parts...

i will suggest you get the engine & carbs done up 1st before doing others. maybe wiring @ the same time.

can your rear suspension be rebuilt? heard some cant, not very sure...

if front, just top up fork oil to harden...

i changed my thunder chain & rear spocket @ lab few months back. cheap, till now never adjust...

anyway, i think engine & carbs are more important as they may cost you a bomb... good FC = good carbs.

find a good mech & check valve clearance if your mileage is around 100k.

lousy valve clearance check may let you end up piston jam, concord damaged...

aiyo, you just sell to hugen la. he wanted a aftermarket exhaust very badly... i just ask 'song' only, see got good offer anot mah. maybe $50 leh...lol.

just got the engine and carb check by ah chong. so far he said nothing wrong except for header spoilt. quote me 600+ to change to a new one.

buying a legal endcan! can gsxr use a slip on or need to weld on?

anyway i need a good shop that will do a good rewiring service plus good at carbs.. my fc is like 15>

your carbs in big trouble. why rewiring?? tell you, go do up your carbs 1st. if yours like mine wear & tear till jialat. should cost you around 600 for replacement of parts inside. mine was around 180km hit reserve liao. now 250km still going... where you stay?
