How much did it cost you to change the spark plug cables? I've not changed my spark plugs for quite sometime, thinking of changing them together. I don't recall seeing any sparks below the fuel tank area, does it happen when wet only?

Welcome to the club! My fork's farked already....thinking of re-chroming it and changing the seals. Was quoted $100 plus for the seals and fork oil at a motorshop before. Maybe we can ask for better price if we send in together ?

i did a change of the sprak plugs cables myself using normal 6mm silicon cable. DirTmaN did a change on his own mito to 10.2mm spark plug cable. feedback from him is really good. but a 10.2 cable-line cost around 10bucks. i think between 8 to 9.2mm is good enough for our bike.

 

quite easy to DIY. you just need to remove your side fairing and petrol tank, then slowly one by one remove the cable. both of the end is screw in type. maybe the allowance of place for you to remove the cable is quite small, but do beware of the wires and hoses around.

Not anytime soon lar. Maybe after Chinese New Year or so.

 

First I need to sort out that leaky radiator (I got a free replacement on my last trip to SG, but if that leaks then I'll have to fabricate a new one), replace the hoses, sort that annoying squaky rear swingarm linkage (it probably needs regreasing), change plugs & oil, change the steering cone, check valve clearance and re-balance the carbs. My front discs are also loose, so I'll probably have them retightened as well.

 

A lot of work, all scheduled for next month.

Looks like u've got quite a number of things to be done. If u'r looking to do all within a day better to report in to motorshop in the morning when they open.. whichever one u choose to go

get splitfire cable if u got the budget...at abt 100 for 4 i think...cant remember already....i chnage my sliptfire to blue lighting....not bad...good pulling power...but its quite big...like tmt said 10.2....its at 18 per pc....COE CERT ANYONE???URGENT!!!

No la... the rest all I can do here in KL... only the forks need to be done in Bikelab. Rechrome & full service. Do you reckon it can be done within a day, while I wait?

Perhaps u like to give them a call to check with them before making the trip. At least they can prepare all the parts necessary so that when ya here, they can cut down the waiting time.

 

As far as i understand, they usually dun encourage rechroming of the fork stachions.

 

Their approach veers towards replacing it.

now everyday rain very jialat... think my spakplug kana water... then everytime when start bike cold...my bike got strange sound when i turn the throttle... sound like v twin bike... or sumthing like a harley... no power... must ride for a while then ok... sian....

u need to warm ur bike real hot~ around 20 or 25mins or so~ after that...off ur engine for awhile...let the water evaporates...den TA LA! ok liaoz! heee...coz i also got this problem~ no worries no worries~

yeah.. saw one FH plate GSX at planet motor also.. with two pipes.. but that bike was gona be scraped. heard that its the "fastest" GSX-r 400 model?

Yah tis old 2pipe G4 had been tested dunno by who...4gwt liao the topspeed is around 180+...yes...same as super4.pickup mah....not sure...

that bike pick up very fast one. my friend last time own one of this. one big problem is the rpm cable alway snap..... hahaha the needle inside also break.....

but i prefer one pipe G4 because it is fast.....

anyway anyone top speed can hit 240???
