u mean the side crankcase cover right??the one when u take out can see the clutch basket? If yes, there is suppose to be gasket for this crankcase cover.may be they did not change your gasket but just put gasket glue(greyish colour) n cover it up??This is the method most mototiam do if there do not have gasket or can't be bothered cases. If that is the case then the next time u want to open up the crankcase cover u will have difficulty or your engine oil might leak coz they didn't change the gasket....

clutch plates got 2 different types

- carbon fiber, got 7 of them ($14 each original, quoted from GH)

-steel ones, got 8 of them($6 or 8 each, also original)

both alternate each other.

i changed the steel ones coz the steel ones wear off.

he took out i see very shiny, very new too, but he say need to change, coz side wear off le

den when u change clutch plates, u sure haf to change engine oil, so engine oil already abt $12x4 bottles of fully synthtic each a litre

den when u change clutch plate sure haf to change clutch sleves. the silver round thing tat holds the clutch plates.

so total, if never kana tok shld be around 190, but only change the steel ones, not the carbon fiber ones..

after tat ur neutral gear is very easily attained

when they close it, they put something like glue n screw it n close it

but from the mech, he says tat one is mainly to prevent leaking n sealing it, not glueing them together

i got my clutch lever from LAB for $6. so based on iceman's previous post, it should be chiong wan. LAB din even want to entertain my request to view the lever first and they want me to pass the $$ over. haha...

change of the clutch skin at combine motor was:

$112 for 8pcs of clutch plate

$78 for 7 pcs of clutch steel

$45 for clutch bush (?? sounds horny. wat the @#$% is it?)

my petrol pipe seems to have enlarged overtime and was not able to fit the petrol nozzle under the petrol tank well. it leaked as a result. change of the pipe was $8.

seemed that the engine also got a paper-like gasket. can someone confirm? cost $18. seems that it will definitely tear if you want to disassemble the carb.

i nearly fell off the chair when i heard the total cost! then i went to read arcfire's post on his whopping cost and my was still ok. haha...

ohh... i think wat they meant was after the discs kenna bua for a long time, the silver service becomes slighty blackish. should have taken some of the discs back for my own reference! anyway, before i changed it, my bike also moved when it was in first gear when clutched in, changing gears was not smooth, kicking to neutral was not easy. now it's ok.

not too sure about the glue becos i did not see them fit it in. my bike was there a full day for servicing. wat abt it?

ok.... how many types of gaskets are there?!!?? if there's only one, is it a paper-like thing? cos the mech told me that the gasket would definitely tear if you want to reach the carb and remove the carb for servicing. seems that it is on the right side of the engine case.

But if you buy a new original gasket n fix it it should not have any leak or the need to seal it.As gasket main purpose,at the first place, is to prevent leak and does the sealing job provided that u do a proper clean up job for the old gasket that is stuck to the engine part casing.

Sory bro.. dun mean to "kay kiang" but i have personally take out n put in the carb. more than 5 time one day coz the carb is behaving strangely. And there is no need to even touch the side casing.... that's why I ask u to elaborate. For me to take out is remove tank, slip out the rubber thingy behind carb, loosen the carb screw securing it and out goes the carb...
