GSX400RR Riders

anyone can help me? i wanna know where can i get those following things done cheap and gd.

 

1) rim (chrome lining + black)

2) service front brakes.

3) is there any steering damper suitable for GSX400RR

4) full service manual for GSX400RR

im posting on behalf of shawn.

 

he previously use 15 for front sprocket n 44 rear. cruise at 100km/h at 6000rpm (i also wan)

 

now changed to front 15 n 46 rear, cruise at 100km/h at 7000rpm (which is standard for most of us).

 

den after change, pick up became no longer impressive.(cant comment on tis)

 

can anyone zhai enough to ans these question?

 

he suspects the engine itself has got no power, so no matter wat he does to the sprocket also no use.

 

BTW, he did all these at LAB, total cost only $180, which i tink its quite cheap

hi, seriously i got no idea where n which shop can do tis. for me, i just go to GH let them do everything, though its abit ex, but u can be rest assured tat they do a good job.

 

 

i wont spend so much effort n time to look for which shop can do brakes, which shop does headlights, which shop does sprocket...

 

hmm.... less hasser ba i tink..

 

however i knwo the black n chrome lining get from ah boy lo..

 

quite cheap. im going down ah boy tis tues to get black lining. wanna meet? maybe abt 2pm or so. contact me at 91873041, alex

hai... back home from LAB .

 

Paisei: B4 changing my front is 14 rear is 44. 100km/hr @ 6k rpm. Nabei !!! just went there n wanted to change Front 15 rear 46 ( which i read from page1 to page 90 pick some tips frm past.. F15 R46 is stock size ) But ah boy say dun have 15 so gave me 14.He add on say 15 no strength wan la. But i insist wan 15 then he gave me 14 n say cum collect next week for 15 give me free.. )

 

Now i using Front 14 Rear 46.. looks fierce for pickup huh ~... but so disappointed.The pickup wasnt tat impressive.. n i loose abit of my top end.Duno issit my engine condition or wad la. Da pickup wasnt impressive lor.. somemore cannot drag long.. awhile must change 2nd gear.

 

Btw Ae46 still riding gsxr ?

 

Ehh gixxers.. can list out ur Front n rear size of ur sprocket n list abt da speed ??

 

Mine Front 14 Rear 46 100km/hr @ 7rpm ( new )

Mine Front 14 Rear 44 100km/hr @ 6rpm ( old )

 

Btw alex thanks for helping me post.. i going back camp liao.. also try try da new sprocket n chain for long run.

haha, paiseh, i got mixed up by ur front n rear. anyway, by right, smaller front n larger rear = pick up

 

but seems like its not in ur case, anyway, i might be changing soon too, like ur old one lor, F14, R44, see 100km/h got 6000rpm anot. which i dun tink so

i dun think what he want is those stick on type ,I think wat he mean is the the polished rim sides on black rims... Correct me if i'm wrong...

I have one fitted on my bike.

 

However, you have to have it rejetted and no one is selling the 105/110 main jets

that is needed.... (they use keihin jets and tikum tikum.)

u dunt need to mod it.i remember its a direct fit, comes with 2 sizes of air intake plastic thingy. one with bigger whole, one with smaller whole. use the smaller hole one which is same size as the stock filter.

use the big one and u'll run the risk of running really lean.

Hello ppl,

 

i have a problem with my gsxr400. it gives this funnie hissing sound somewhere in the engine.

And WORST still, i CANT have a smooth and fast pick up-seems like its CHOKING!!!

Although its ok at high speed, it tends to LOSE power upon climbing a slope (like ecp benjamin sheares bridge).. So i drop and drop and drop my gear (ok now imagine its at second gear..) it still cant go up.. and feels like choking.. in my own words.. "oh F**K"..................

 

so this is what i've done:

1. service carb.. and it was ok until some time.. a month back

2. do air filter (they drill holes into it, instead of changing it, cos i dont think that was the primary cause) 2 weeks back.. and after that it was ok until...

 

NOW!!

 

so can anyone help me with some diagnosis pls? and any suggestions, comments and recommendations?
