depending on the bike shop....mostly would change a piston, polish ur block that is if its still in good conditon, valve and cylinders n stuff ( clearnace and service) , i dunno if g4 got gear balancer but if have they will balance, tunning, con-rod bearing (thats if ur con-rod still in good condition)....can't think of anymore. Oh...head gasket reset compression...i guess thats about all....if u wanna overhaul and daring...y not juz do a big bore.??? since u gonna stripe down n engine n it would cost u abt the same price as overhaul....

would like to ask abt valve clearance cos i saw a stripped G4 with upper half of the engine removed at GH the other day. the uncle say the bike was undergoing valve clearance. so when do we need to do that? what noticeable improvement can we notice after doing it? the chain at the middle of the G4 engine is the timing chain?

anyway dunno how to describe valve clearance..... the valves are run by shims which regulate the valves. Its used to control the in n out of the gases produced during the running of the engine.

 

When to do it ....i oso dunno.....but if its not done when needed it'll probable damage your pistons..... Something lidat.read abt it before but i can;t remember the exact stuff liao

Regarding when to service valve...when u reaches certain RPM which will tends to hav an extra boost...but not anymore...think it's time to service the valve... rite?
