I absolutely agree on the gixxers club.......would be damn great to have our own club.....can discuss all abt our beloved bikes...... change tips.....

innovations n such....

 

I'm in anytime man........ make our own stickers oso......den even better

sigh...the thing is most pple dun support the idea...and they say the name gixxers does not sound nice...but i think they dun ride gsxr themselves...lets jus hope the moderators support our idea lor..

paiseh, im one of those who said it doesnt sound nice. But then again, im riding a gsxr myself. Although i dislike the name doesnt mean i dunt support the idea. im game with anything the majority supports.

i remember i read some technical info about backfiring. although i dun remember why/how as its quite 'cheem', but i do remember that it is Not good for ur engine.

when u rev high RPM on ur GSXR...the fuel mixture is rapidly sucked into ur engine...when u hit the kill switch....ur spark plug stop firing while the cam are still opening and closing your valve..as a result your whole exhaust get fill with unburned mixture...when you hit the "on" switch..the spark plug fire again...and if the combustion "catches" to the remaining mixture in the exhuast pipe...then "BOOM"!!!!!

 

Personally I think it serve no purpose. Stress your piston. Although Some claim.the explosion will "shake" out some of the stubborn carbon.

1) wash n tune go Guan Hoe.....cheap n gd....$30+ oni

2) anywhere will do can try mah motorparts at jalan besar or planet motors

3) same as (2).....anywhere u trust to do a gd job.......

4) same as (3)

5) same as (4) Many pple in the forum has gd comments abt planet motors.....u might wanna try sanfu as well......been wanting to visit sanfu but neva had the time to........ if u going there i might be interesting in going along.....but pricewise i not too sure abt there......

Just curious, Is this a RR model? The paintwork does look like my RR. Which is the newest Gixxer model btw? How many more are there after RR?

I dun tink so......the paintworks are more os less the same but u see that small cylinder at the back of the tail? tats a adjustable suspension reservoir for the rear suspension......not too sure wad model that is...tink its the msp if not wrong......anyway the RR is the last model to be out liao.....there's nuthing after that.......

i dunno how to explain becos i oso blur...u all go this website and find out....all the models actually have a remote reservoir......so wat happen here?? issit they anyhow post wrong pic....or the bikes in our country purposely take out one...

 

Not all models got.

 

Anyway, mine also dun have remote shock reservoir. But you know what? Even without it, my bike handles sweeeeeeeeeet. So I really dun care whether got that metal canister or not - after all, having that thing doesn't automatically turn you into Rossi in the corners.

 

For those who are really picky, you can buy an aftermarket Hagon rear shock that comes with that thing. il4 sells them I think. But I dun think it comes cheap.

Which motodiam u planning to go for servicing?

Mine also abt time for servicing liao. hope to go to Shunfu cos got free wheel balancing.

My bike tends to the left. So thinking of having that done.
