The carb balancer is for syn da carb or just tuning onli ?? Wads tune n syn in diff ? If he plug in 4 hose to carb n adjust da 4 tube.. tats is syn onli rite? Not tuning ?

my bike like seriously sick leh...

 

sometimes when its the engine is hot... it will feel like the petrol cannot go in like that.. then the sound also diff, and engine will stall easily. feel like the fuel cannot burn properly... think is the float got problem or might the air filter prob. but definately the carp need to be service and retune le i think...

 

hence need some help!.....

Shawn: The meter thingy is to sync the carbs if i'm not wrong.....

 

So far after tuning my bike at GH so many times, still feel my bike is running rich. The guys at the inspection centre confirmed my suspicion. They told me that my CO2 reading is higher den normal(abt 3%...normal should be abt 1%)

 

No problems with that, juz that start up will smell petrol from my exhaust.....but low on cash so will wait till the rite time to go get a gd tuning.(tat is if i can find a gd place to do it......)

Diff bike got diff personality... for an old bike like G4 juz a normal tuning will do. As for me i hav it tune at Guan Hoe,seems alrite with me for quite some time. even when i sold my bike,it's still running good. Planet's service is good but when they're busy, some nuts tends to be left out or either not tight enuff. Anyway...2 thumbs up for planet~ :cheer: kekeke...long time never post liao... hows everybody? got mish me? :smile:

Anytime mate... i will be free till next sunday. U guys wanna try waterwetter or maxima coolant? I used it n its good... bike wont over heat tat easy stay cooler n throttle response more smooth. Wanna buy 1 n DIY ? Would wanna try maxima's brand this time. Heard its better than waterwetter. Ur prob n mine about da same last time. I go tuning n wash carb then okie liao. Idling speed set as 1krpm is enuff. But remember to adjust it after ur engine is warm up. No point adjusting it when u left ur bike overnite then go crank it n adjust. Last time my idling is set 1.5k rpm . Then after wacking my bike or drag rpm n cum to a stop, my idling will increase to 2k or 2.5k. And when u warmup bike ( this 1 not sure but works well for me ) sit on ur bike then crank it n either remain ur throttle at 3k rpm for about 1 or 2 mins or just leave it w/o throttle. This matter ah chong(planet) teach me wan . Its better dun put on side stand then crank ur engine n warm up.

For servicing give it a try at Planet , Best is let ah chong do or another guy patrick small size wan . Da cost there is very reasonable n of cost good as well. I got my NGK racing plugs 4 cable $30 there, K&N air filter $20 there. Muahaha. All 2nd hand but still working as gd

extra mah. dun waste so just sell lor.

King:yes..theres some wkshop tat do 4stroke 400cc^ bikes...G4 is availble there too...but in jb its hard to find...they only noe some simple maintence...but im nt sure whether they'r gd in it.but most mechnic in sg are mayasian..wat can i say?...

 

Shawn: yup..arc is rite...i nv do a dyno tune on my ex beloved G4...

wat can i say...GH really pack wif experiences...but sometimes they do make mistakes...dun worry king..even they done a error setting for u,u can go bac retune for free.

 

its nt nessesery to do a dyno jetting lah...unless u goin for a race.

planet is another nice place to do ur bike too...nt becoz they're pro...it's becoz the boss is frdy n lame*like me...they wun chop ppl by anyhow.

 

snk:no...it wun wear off ur brake pad after installed hell brake...but it definetly gives u a gd performance of braking.n guess wat?u can use time for lifetime*much better than steel brake hose.

king: Perhaps can find 1 day have a meetup at ahboy there since u going to purchase carb parts at KS? i will be going to ah boy to get spark plugs, and some accessories for my hurt baby! Not forgetting spare parts as KS. Does KS open on Sun?

 

I'm one who always wanted the best for my bike! Anyone knows how to strip the carb? or can assist me? of coz for a small fees i will be willing to pay(if not might as well go bike shop right?)! I feel like DIY and fix the jet needle on my own 1st. Check whether the fc will improve or not, otherwise ride to bike shop and do up liao! but worried that I might not have the adequate tools.

 

Btw. saw my bike sleeping on the ground at the mscp. My heart really sunk! Dunno which evil c*b mutha fooker did that! Now my windshield cracked, paintwork scratched, this and that dent! Sigh!!!

wah .. so suay ah .Which farker push down ur bike n how cum sial? Issit ur neighbour got made some enemy ? For throttle n side mirror maybe u can get from SkY.(Staying near LCK) Windshield u can get from TnT aka peter.

 

Hmm striping of carb i still dunno but going to learn it.I'm going to make order to buy a carb balancer mercury 1 from overseas,next time can tune my wash da carb myself,n da balancer is for 4 strokes which means Class2 also can... hahaa !! But till da moment i think u better let da motordiam fix ur jet needles. Sparksplugs u can get from FJT even cheaper , Denso U24ERT think $4 per piece onli. LAB cannot buy plugs from there... ah boy dun like to give cheap cheap for his plugs.

 

Ehh about Coolant think gotta try buy maxima coolant i think around $17

Maxima coolant is available at Race Werks for a small fee.

Have already tried it on a SP. no negative comments so far.

Personally i use only Water wetter. Am impressed with their 'anti-rust' component.

which i do not think is present in Maxima water treatments.

 

Shawn: the Hel brake hose was on my gsxr since i got it in Jan'05.

whoever pays first will get it. since i have ppl msging me for it also.

better say in advance. no point gettin all upset over a darn brake hose

Eh... If the bike starts well when cold, most likely the pilot jet/fuel mixture screw/idling screw is a bit on the rich side.

 

When the bike reaches optimal temperature, the higher temperature will need less gas but however, the bike was "tuned" to make starting easier.

 

The choke is there for a reason.

It delivers a richer mixture to the engine to allow the bike to start and when warmed up, cut off the choke and your properly "tuned" pilot circuitry will take over.

 

Rather than a properly "tuned" bike to allow starting without using the

choke which have have a too rich pilot system when the bike is warmed up.

 

Considering the age of the bike and carb, often just by replacing

the jets, needles (worn out) for new one, will magically make the bike more "powerful".

Yeah..agree with the changing of the needles....but of course, cannot ignore the effects of a well tuned bike..... cos so far the "tuning" i've seen have been quite mediocre..... Disapointing really....

 

Solidpig : feel angry for you man....i'll help you kill the bugger when you've found out who he is man..... Dun mind trying the waterwetter or maxima coolant...

Btw, i can strip carb....but dunno how to put back..wahahahahaha

But one thing though, the damn air filter is damn ex....gets clogged up real soon... should consider changing to K&N...at least can wash n reuse. Oni proble is that GH not well versed in tuning for that filter.
