when its recc at 25A, keep it at 25A. The fuse is a safety feature to break the circuit when the cureent is too strong. When u allow more current to flow thru with higher A, basically u r waiting to fry ur electrics.

 

When the electrical current has no where to go, it will turn into energy in the form of heat, thats y all things will heat up that is in the ciruitry loop. Then because the Fuse is designed to go 1st b4 anyother things, it will melt and break down 1st.

 

Ur temp gauge should be at the normal position i suppose.. So it means ur head light is giving way.. When ur head unit does not turn on, no energy is drawn from the batt. So no place to go, backflow of energy, aka Current, soon ur rectifier will fry.. Also check out the circuitry, wat does the 25A control? If i'm wrong abt the head unit, which i dun think so, u have to trace.. Mech will have better solution.. waiting for u to confirm abt Wed, then i bring u down, else i go sleep le..

Yep, the 25A fuse is for the main circuit..... I'd say, time for you to go check your wiring completely to prevent any problems of the same kind recurring......

as for the fuses kaput, got try and check all the wirings, especially wires inside the rear farings

Take a few factors into consideration, pior to this, your bike got kena rain, or install any additional electrical components? blah blah..

like said earlier, wiring must had been worn out due to corrosion, kena water

anyway how's your retifier problem? fixed already?

 

Bike electric

1. Battery acts as a reserve energy to provide energy to start up bike

2. Bike running so magnetic coil charging and gives DC current to rectifier

3. Rectifier converts DC into AC current and to convert excess electrical flow into heat

4. The electric flow will then flow into all parts of the bike and battery via fuses.

 

As for the fuse part, I'm still not very sure. Certain fuse if for certain components or the voltage of all fuses will added up together to act as one?

coz... think my bike also very low morale as i'm this period. Knn everything not function properly. Think gotta do a major maintenance liao. About re wiring da whole bike i heard it cost a bomb right? But am i suppose to change all da wiring ? Coz i also feel damn wierd how cum 30A also will melt.. HAI. Wad a month. Duno wanna go planet or pierre's mech leh. Planet much cheaper, i dunno abt pierre's place.. haha.

Shawn:- What Arcfire mention is true,u better check the wiring first before changing yr rect. becoz if yr wiring is shorting( to the Gnd. or to some other source) it might fry your rect. again. As for the fuse rating ,stick to recommended amperage cos it ok to burn your fuse rather than fry your wiring or WORSE the wiring catches FIRE!!

Tracing of wiring is a damn tedious job, not all shop will do it cos they rather u change the whole wiring loom instead.Electrical faults sometimes is easy to trace but most of the time is a really pain in the ass to troubleshoot.Regarding the cost to troubleshoot ,it actually depends how difficult the fault is.... thou.Any way goodluck bro....

hi, would like to enquire abt my gsx400rr problem..

after i wack the bike and when i slow d0wn when changing gear while clutching in the engine just die off , oil indicator appear and when i release definately it will start.. :help:

shawn-they do check ur wiring..arg hard o describle..tell u when meet...coolant u try to remove the 3 rubber tube...coz lots of rust n acid stuck inside.

After u wack then will u clutch in n free roll, da red light indicator come out right ? I also got tat problem b4. To me , i find its bcoz of bad tuning/service of carb. Tried many places tuning, all like this . But i went K&T tune , after wacking da light nv show wan. Always try at 2nd link during army days. Then went other places tuning , n once again after i wack , da red indicator will come out.

 

hey icez: btw when u go bikelab can help me ask how much they charge for servicing fork n oil seal ?
