Share with us more about ur rear shock. Price all that. How it affect the bike.

When I bought the bike, the shock has already been change, not sure if it is from CBR400, I asked Michael at Seng Motor Hung, he also don't know.

The preload has been adjusted to the max, the adjusting nut is adjusted fully down, and the shock feel very hard when I tried to bounce on the bike. Before adjustement the bike will rebound very fast and hard when the bike going over slope even at very slow speed, sometime my groin also hurt. :giddy:

So I borrowed the tool from Michael to adjust the preload and test myself until I can bounce on the bike normally then I tighten the lock nut. Michael did not charge me a cent, maybe I got my gsxr750 from him last time and he knows I can do my own repair and servicing.

Now it doens't rebound as bad as before, suspension can be further improve by sending to bikelab to adjust the static and race sag for me.

sian lo... dunno have to ride how long with this suspension... go faster scare bounce... go slow kanna tailgate... :p

Can check the preload and do some adjustment on the suspension setting. If still fails can consider getting rear shock from 92-95 gsxr750, or 93-97 RF900 at a fraction of the original rear shock cost. They will fit in nicely without any modification needed and all the dampening is adjustable and there will be no change of ride height too.

The newer shock may also fit but require modifications.

carribena is da thing then can hook on to a line wan.. u noe wall climbing?? Da metal thing hook to u and da safety line?

paradox00: u check ur plugs cables ( issit full of black tape?)..or ur plugs connector. is da rubber still in good shape? If u manage to start ur bike, just remain ur throttle warm up at 2.5k to 3k constantly. Good its tat it can charge ur battery , warm up faster and solve da problem of having da 1 faulty plugs if u have. But remember to sit on ur bike, dun put side stand n warm up. Wont be tat good. U try sit on it and warm up n side stand warm up. U will feel da difference

My rear sproc is 46 now not sure abt the front, 100km/h @ 6K rpm @ 6th gear. Same as my bandit400, but gsxr400 pickup was better than my bandit with 45.

I think it must be 15 front 46 rear ba. Coz mine 15 44, 100km/hr rpm is at 5.8k.

naz: wah if u gets S750WP's bike, u super kio tio already... haha. His bandit new owner also kio tio. Dunno about his super4.

coolant need to change... try waterwetter. Its damn good. :thumb: Heat up slowly, then once u move off, it cools off very fast. Or u go fix a manual fans switch, just use it when u feels uncomfortable with da heat.

Mine doesn;t heat up so fast and I am wondering if the previous owners has remove the thermostat. It took at leat 20-25mins of idling for mine to reach 3/4 mark then the fan will turn on, compare to my bandit400 which took 15 mins for the bike to heat up and fans to turn on.

Anyway you can check the coolant condition and see if its low, or simply do a radiator fluch and top up with new coolant.

by right, rear shock from only 1992-95 will fits gk76, other year like 1996 onwards will have to do some slight modifcations? I am actually sourcing it at ebay, and the nearest i could find is a 96-99 srad 750 rear shock going for US$15.

The SRAD shock is longer, it will alter the ride height, the G4 is going to sit much higher and you are going to tired yourself more. Its going to affect the handling as well.

So 92-95 gsxr750 rear shock can directly fits ours. But can it be rebuilt? If not i think the condition will be equally bad.

Can rebuilt I suppose but never tried, the spring for the gsxr750 is much stiffer, it can't be as bad as our 400.
