There are some problems that you wont notice if you dont whack.

Its by whacking where i found out the shop didnt tune the bike for me properly.

Went back today got it tuned and managed to hit 190+200 on 2nd link.

My kakis said its kinda slow for a GSX so u guys, what are the top speeds you managed?

 

 

Btw, today fix 1 problem another come, my rpm meter spoil hahaha.

Btw, your speedo meter in good condition? lights bright bright and all? if so i dont mind buying a spare...

Things done so far:

Brand new rear suspension, new rubbers in carbs, serviced carbs, double bubble windscreen, voltmeter, Pilot Sport tyres, Did o ring + VAZ sprokets, front brake pump, gaskets + waterpump oil seal, Maxima CoolAid, 2nd hand rear hugger, 2nd hand front brake disc, Fizz Power brake pads front and back, 2nd hand front and back rims, Yusa battery, Reconditioned 2nd hand carbs by Planet, Front sticker number plate, front wheel bearings, new clutch plates, fortuna paintwork sponsored by spastic driver, Keitin tank pad.

 

Need sugar mommy for : Hel brake lines and top end overhaul.

I've seen that one before.... only thing is, its virtually impossible to dismantle the glass casing front of the meter without making it look like a piece of dented metal.

The mentality is just so wrong. Yes, 2k can buy you another GSX, but does that GSX come with a practically brand new engine? You take the 2k buy a new GSX then need to overhaul again how?

 

Personally i would just spend the money and get a bike with a brand new engine.

price range can be $1000-2000....depends on the bike condition and amt of mod....but of coz....this is the price if u're to purchase from a pte seller.....Whereas from a shp can cost $1800-2500.....Common ting such as fork leaking...engine leaking...However engine wise u cant tell coz...it mite be working fine for a mth or 2 and just break down after tat....As you're buying a 2nd hand old machine...there's no much guarantee...Its all luck....

Do not worry im just commenting, what is your train of thought for this? Not looking to pick a fight, just trying to understand a second point of view :)

 

Scene 1. Spend 2k and get same bike with new engine. And you know what parts u fixed what parts may be going.

 

Scene 2. Machine price 1.5k. insurance/road tax/transfer fees. Dont know engine condition (no matter how good still cant compare to 1 overhauled) dont know condition of everything else. Waste time doing transfers. Waste time troubleshooting 1 by 1 again.

 

To me, it just makes no financial sense or practical sense to buy a new bike when it costs almost the same to get a full overhaul.

 

Unless you are looking to upgrade soon and dont want the next owner to "earn" what u paid so much for. Then i understand :p
