power steering has a pump and container, just like ur brakes fluid container. power steering oil drop maybe the mech was saying a leakage.

The metal piece is call a "dip stick", u should check the dip stick only on a even road surface, without starting the engine.

Normal EO normally mech refers to avg or cheaper pricing type like $15 a litre or less. Every brand also define their oil as the best, so no comments on that.

Ur EG should feed with something like a xW40 ~ 30 based on the condition, dun think urs can support visco 50 type. you will lose more power and wear out the bearings faster.

yap even ground , dip stick showed nothing...

i think my friend bring the brand KIS , brand correct?

well i suppose e mechanic is tryin to highlight to u tht ur ride has aged n its internal built is not as strong as it was when new hence choosing of e rite type of EO (isit call viscocity?? sori i no expert here) for ur ride would be gd for ur daily usuage, although there alot of aftermarket brand of EO in e automotive trade well choose wisely.

ur mech power la  this type where got thin? EO selection should be based on weather condition, internal engine condition (age related), purpose imo. But should always give ur car the best isn't it? at least i did for my case.

Actually EG5/6 is a very good car lai de, maybe due to too many owner who abuse the engine until like sai~ if u willing to invest abit, the car sure will impress u very much more

visco not only main thing de, similar visco from different brand react differently on certain heat point that affect oil pressure. Is kinda long so i will skip

what is power sterring drop oil ??

as in direct translation QUOTE]

there's a power steering oil container just besides the windscreen water.

mine leaked due to rubber connecting the container to the engine harden.

your mechanic good at troubleshooting ...

power steering for EG's consist of

1. Power steering pump ( find 2nd hand abt $100 )

2. steering rack ( abt $250-300 )

3. All the Hoses / clips

4. Power steering oil container

If u want to free this problem / headache. REMOVE POWER STEERING :thumb:

Car lighter somemore ! And your arm train stronger
