Hi, if i'm not wrong the bike shop sold the bike to u with faulty CDI. Only way is to change yr cdi or u can try going back to the shop for explaination.

The problems that i face such as unstable idling, engine stall when accelerate in stationary position, hard to start, even though no problem with the current flow one of the exhaust is cold as though there is no firing from the plug. I've changed the cdi (twice), valve motor (bike shop cover the expenses) but still having the same problems, now bike is at different shop to change the battery, original air filter (bought it without air filter), aftermarket Voltage reader and setting up of the carb. Met up with this guy name Malcolm (RVF rider) there, he said he know Lawrence. No luck coz when test the bike no problems... what to do... 2nd hand bike... win some, lose some...

Anyway, do you guys have any PGM outings which I can come along?

nastro mc28:bring it to ET or eddy...i too change my cdi before..

 

ahpoh:make up my mind liaoz...my pay can afford to upkeep a cl2...anyway,i manage to get some connection for the bike thru regina..

You have pistion jammed before?

It is unlikely the cause of electrical parts failure nor carb problem.

try top overhaul to see if it is cylinder wall scratches or piston rings wear.

Smokey, TOP OVERHAUL?? and how much is that? so far when i'm using this bike piston never jammed before and compression also quite ok. 130 on the right cyclinder and 125 on the left cyclinder and this is an accurate reading.

I am not sure how much does it cause for top overhaul of your bike.

Ok i give you a sinerio :

1) Start-up time ond exhaust is slower then other.

smoke is more on one side than the other.

no matter how you adjust the idle also cannot balance.

spark plug foul.

 

Check you main jet if it is to spec. if it is then try to bring up the needle clip up 2 to 3 knotch for both carbs. if cannot;

 

2) top overhaul.

 

Did you over rev you bike the day before you encounter this problem??

not overhaul larz..just go for a top servicing..u should noe wat it does..last time mine oso like this..one side no smoke,one side alot,after i went for it den normal liaoz..polluting my blk every morning..
