Another alternative to reduce temperature is to get a triple core radiator. But it will cost alot more and take time to find.

Mind u that the cost doesnt justify the radiator....cos jamie used to be selling one for ard 1plus k USD.....if seriously u wish to buy that or get your hands on a custom made version of the dbl core or triple core....i suggest you can speak to HRCSGP....however for increasing of the flow cycle, then i suggest removal of the valve thingy and change the coolent will do for street applications...whats the use of triple core HRC when u haven done up the performance level.....

Thank Bro for all the information.

I may have miss out this but does anyone have any ideal how high the engine temperature can go for the bike.

I believe honda engine belong to the hot engine type(used to heard ppl say the hotter it is the better it preform for Honda, during school day.), but when i ride NSR MC16 and PGM2, i don't have much problem with the engine temperature, it never reach more then 80 Deg C. But recently when i travel to work around jurong area, due to traffic jam the temp goes up very high and fast (last time my work place just 10min away from my home), and now sometime stop at traffic light the temp also shoot up, but once move the temp down. Flush the radi and change coolant still the same, go bike shop and check they say nothing wrong with the coolant pump.

I wonder does it help to change to a cold plug, and does it affact the performance.

Thanks.

-Singapore traffic for me e.g using BR9 sparkplug, if traffic jam ard Geylang areas may shoot up to 90 DEG.

Where as on normal will be 69 DEG to 75 DEG if constant riding with light traffic.

You can try change e coolant rubber hose, cost ard estimate $200+/- w/o labour

-Thr used to be female rider on PGM4, but that was e past.

there is y i say sometimes the radiator due to age has blockage or not working 100percent....if just change hose alone cannot solve....even silicon hoses...the whole cooling cycle need to be redo.....jus my opinion.

90 deg, i think it still good enough. I ever hit 98 deg, and my friend 105 deg in a heavy jam. It scary, so whenever now once it hit 90 deg, i'll try to move a side to park for a while, let it cool down before i move on. Most of the time is because during split lane, bike infront moving too slow causes it to shoot up, worst if the weather is hot.

I have flush a few time, even take out to clean in between the fins, change the cap. Still the same.:sian::sian::sian:

About to give up and thinking to fix a fan in front of the radi, heheee. :):)

By the way have anyone try the top for the 4(PGM4)? Don't talk about "ANDY LAU" movie only.

Care to share, i have never try. But the higher i go is 178.

I think the cost does justify the radiator! Why dont you ask HRCsgp why he is also using RS radiator. If it is useless, why he use also? Second hand dual core RS radiator cost about 500-600 plus, depending on condition.

I provide the fastest but the most expensive method to help him reduce temperature. I think (If possible) even stock bike should use HRC radiator because the heat is extreme on Singapore road. Its has got nothin to do with performance but $$.

i think even stock radiator new oso ard 500 from dealer....seriously so wat if u got hrc radiator? performance level still street bike? Like i said earlier....performance must tweak then we work on the cooling...i provide a solution not a modification....since the HRC radiator oso require a lot of relocating of other components...chill man 2 stoker....y dun u go buy the radiator and u will know wat i mean?

Your solution sounds like another excuse to spent money...i based on the HRC manual for STREET....not on the manual for RACE...so bro...please....get it in your head....and dun you ever read closely???

First of all, what makes you think i neva use an RS radiator or i dun have have it. I dont give suggestion and talk big in forum for things that i have neva tried before. i have already say in my previous reply: " it will cost alot more and take time to find". I have told before that it will cost more and i feel all ppl takes money differently. Maybe your $1 seem like 1k to me? You wont know how ppl differ money. So whats wrong with asking ppl to spent money.

People is asking how to solve heating problem and you suggest ppl to go for performance first then settle the heating problem. Please think back and see ppl's requirement before you argue or give suggestion.

sorry to interupt both of u ya....givnig my 2 cents thoughts, if the person realli defines money that BIG to them dan dun play or modify or get such an old sports bike where parts or rectifying problems can realli cost such amt of money at times. so last of all... ICe CREAM!!!! lolx.
