Hi, i wonder anyone stay around Hougang area or offen goes there? because i tend to see some PGM there, sometime at coffee shop near to koven mrt station. Can't see the number plate, cause normally turn to the other side.

I stay at hougang, and i think it north-east of singapore. MC28SP.

Does anyone know where to get the screw for the fusl tank. I mean the 7 pcs of screw for the fusl tank cover. Some ppl tell me that it won't rust one, but it don't really seem to be so. Hve try the screw shop, with no luck.

By the way how much will it cost?

have u tried e screw shops at UBI ? doing stainless steel screws n have different sizes n shape dat maybe u r looking for.. i bought screws frm them for my windshield..

 

depends on size.. price RANGE from $1 to $2 per screws

I have ask them quite some time back also shop at "Soon high road" (don't know how to spell). They don't have the screw, the screw were difference in shape, they said have to custom make, and custom make thing r expensive and talking quautity which i don't have.

Thank for your reply. But that is the one of the shop i have went and tell me i have to custom make. He ask me how many i need i say 7, he give me a funny look like 7 only.... i believe they have to do some mechining. By the way does anyone really change or take out that screw and to have a look?

Does anyone here have this problem, if i ride the bike for more then 30min, don't care "start,stop" mean move n stop for short distance, normally at jam. Or continuos, my hand will become like no feeling at all, part of it, usually the finger.

Does it anything do with the bike? Or what may cause the problem?

if they all no have i think u need to go down FJT or Ever success to buy the oem screw. haha or lim ah boy....

Hey guys. Is it true that a PGM 4 is really a very high Maintenance bike?

There are many for sale outhere. I would really like to get one. But alot of my friends told me only to get it if i have very deep pockets to support the bike. There is 1 pgm that im really interested in getting now. Has new cdi,tyres,clutchplate etc. What should i look out for too?. Sorry for the many question guys (:.

Hi, It a yes and no answer depend how you balance it out. I don't use cheap 2T as those buy at pretol station, one bottle of 2t cost me $25 ++ and i know some are more expensive. But the bike don't use so much engine oil "4T" because it running on dry clutch,so i replace it by using gear oil, average one will last me six month or more depend you use it as transport or ride. The wear n tear come normally, i think is, the dry clutch pad and the "sporket"(hope spelling correct), rather then that is the pretol.

But it a bike nice and fun to ride with.

Bear in mind every bike is almost the same, it just how you wanna take care ot it. You take care of "her" (the bike) it will take care of you.

By the way where you see these bike? i don't think there alot now in the shop.

Oh i see. I am riding a sp now,and on premix atm too, i often use motul 710 and motul gear oil with ester & etc.I am more worried about the parts that suddenly would suddenly give way. How much is the dry clutch pad? and *sproket* i too am not sure of the spelling.

How much would it cost to top service ? an as in remove the block and wash and polish etc on a pgm? as it has 2 block:P.

 

On a side note, any female pgm rider's here?=D

Well, for me i like the bike alot. i used to own two of them, but give one up when my friend wanna it too. And this bike have been with me think more then 8 years. I don't have much problem with it. But bear in mind this bike have already stop production, but part still able to get. As for the servicing babababa you referring to... i don't have much ideal cause i have never do it on my bike before, it still in good condition. "sporket" there is good one and cheap want, depend on you, for me sometime i like to play pickup "because sometime some big bike wanna try their pickup"heee, so i get the extreme one, fix and part cost me around 300, cheap want about 180 can get liao, but won't last long. Clutch pad, it really also depend on how you ride lol, my one last me 2 year liao, also about to change liao....hehee.. cost 200 ++ ba, not sure.

But one thing i'm sure of is, no girls ride PGM, not that i can see...

few years back thr used to be this girl riding pgm4, if u track back e older post.. she sold cos e bike she bought causes alot problems for her...

 

as for servicing wise, dont have to always remove block n wash unlike nsr150.. carb also seldom give problem... dun need always wash, quite tough bike if u find a gd condition...

 

btw this is my 2nd pgm i bought back after i sold my r6...

its light in weight n fun bike to ride, regardless of handling, power,looks

most likely its e throttle grip which is causing the friction i guess.. and check ur throttle cable if its rusty?

Almost forget to tell you one very important thing regards the dis-advantage of the bike. If you offen tend to pillion, this is not a very good bike for pillion, due to the sitting position and foot rest. For me, i ever try sitting behind, and it tend to be a bit scarely to me, and the cusion not very comfort.

Please take note of this.

Take the bike for a test ride from the shop before you wanna to buy "don't forget to bring someone to help to see" you will like the bike. The response, the handling and the power. But as i alway tell my friend, your heart must be bigger then the bike, don't let it control you, but you must trust the bike and tate care of it so it can take care of you. In another word, don't get a bike that you cannot handle.

dun forget to lookout when e mechanic install e throttle grip make sure it fits nicely n no excess rubber rubbing against ur handle bar so when u twist ur throttle n let go, it must be smooth...

 

imo : playlife ,haris throttle grips not bad...

It there really a lady PGM rider? Nvr seem before, cause i think most girl don't really like this bike. It abit too fast "pickup n response" for them, and from PGM2 onward look like the size of a 750. Well this is what i think, maybe i'm wrong.
