Two Summon for parking in the same spot?

Hi, I wish to enquire. I recieved TWO parking summons from TP for an area that I PARKED at the same spot for the whole day.

This is definitely verified by the owner of a shop that I was in it the whole day near Grandlink Square.

 

It says on 22nd Aug'09. at 2:09PM my first summon was issued at GEYLANG LORONG 42 for parking opposite continous white line. That I disagree because I was parking at LORONG 44 from 12pm - 6pm.

The second summon was at 4:25PM on the same date at LORONG 44 , for also parking opp a continous white line.

 

It's $70 x2 = $140.

I am willing to pay the $70 fine for the continous white line which I know is my fault, but why was I issued two summons for parking in the same spot. From what I've heard from friends, it's not possible to get 2 summons for the same spot. When I returned to my bike, It was only 1 SUMMON that stated 4:25pm. There was no trace of the 2;09PM summon paper. Is there a mistake?

Is there anyway, I can appeal to TP for making a mistake?

I tried calling them at 6547000 but all I get is the voicemail which tells me things that I already know off.

i got summoned 2 days in a row and 1st day didnt get the ticket too (thats why i parked there again) haha. maybe they just take down number plates

hey, apparently, they can do so and summon you more than once. my friend got two summons while parking at pavement outside Park View Square. however as the person who fined him only placed 1 summon slip, he paid only one summon. Even though the reminders for him to pay the second summon kept coming, but since he thought he had paid, he ignored them. until TP ask him to go to court then he realized that time there were 2 fines and in the end he has to pay a few hundred dollars for the late payment.

 

this is really LL suck thumb, i believe they want fine you every minute til u come back also can ba..

I have seen one S4 near my place getting a stack of summons, every couple of days the stack gets bigger, so you say leh....

if two summons within the same day then got high chance to appeal lar. doesnt really make sense to give you two summons for the same offence at the same spot on the same day.

 

like that if i TP, might as well i just stay there and print one summon out each for every five minutes. doesnt make sense right?

It's to deter ppl from thinking "aiyar, since already kena saman, might as well leave the bike/car there". So they will saman again and again... Btw, do TP still issue tickets for parking offence? thought all outsourced liao...

 

My colleague who's driving kena once for parking too long (coupon expired), then later the saman got "upgraded" to parking without coupon.

just try appealing and waiting for the results to come out. maybe they might have realized that it was their mistake and wave the fine off. anyway can anyone tell me what is TS?

So yes, if you never moved your bike anywhere, you can appeal for the first summon to be waived.

 

2nd summon, since its actually what you have done. You just have to bite your lips and pay for it.

I don't mind paying the $70 fine, no problem since I admit it's my mistake. But I am not willing to pay the second summon for the EXACT same spot I parked at ( I Never moved my bike, nor went to my bike at all from 12pm - 6pm).

They summoned once at 2pm+ and another again at 3pm+.(1 hour later)

I emailed them , and faxed them my appeal. Called them 3 times (They said take about 2-3 weeks to process before system updated). My payment date was 30th Sept. And now, another two letters came again said that I miss my 30th Sept date and on Oct 30th is my final date before I have to go court.

Wtf? I already emailed(spf_summoning something about 3 times) and faxed them (twice)

about 3 weeks ago.

 

What are they doing?

Going to call them up again.

er..i dunno about fax, but when u email them i think u shud receive a reply acknowledging ur appeal and telling u to disregard the due dates..
